Make a Lasting Impression with Memorial Leaves

The Friends of the Elderly invite you to create a lasting impression at the Senior Center.

Twenty-five years ago, a simple idea took root, and soon a tree began to sprout—eventually blossoming into The Tree of Life, a striking work of art that now spans an entire wall in the café area of the Tewksbury Senior Activities Center. Standing six feet tall and seven and a half feet wide, the tree has continued to flourish and evolve over the years, becoming a lasting symbol of growth and community.

The Tree of Life features a cast bronze trunk and over 500 leaves crafted from aluminum, copper, and brass. The leaves are engraved with the names of many — our friends, neighbors, community businesses, clubs, and organizations — who helped grow the Tewksbury Senior Center into what it is today. Scattered among these leaves are “special messages” in memory of loved ones who will always be remembered.

The Friends of the Elderly continues to offer this opportunity for anyone in the community to become a “Member of the Family Tree”. This is not a fundraiser, but an opportunity to make a lasting impression and be part of this beautiful art piece at the TSC.

If you would like to become a Member of Our Family Tree, please stop by the Tewksbury Senior Center and pick up a form at the reception desk or call 978-851-4480 for more information.

Pricing of leaves: Aluminum $50; Copper $100; Brass $250

Each leaf is 4″ x 1 1/2″ and has space for three (3) lines of engraving with 24 character spaces per line (spaces and punctuation are considered a character). Pricing includes engraving and installation.

Thank you, Linda Brabant and your magnificent army of volunteers, for spearheading this project — your leadership and initiative made all the difference!”
