Tewksbury Congregational Church Launches “Good Neighbors” Initiative to Support Community Amid SNAP Benefit Reductions

TCC pairs SNAP recipients with local donors to support the community through the impending loss of benefits.

As our community faces the challenges brought by the impending loss of SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits, Tewksbury Congregational Church (TCC) is stepping forward with compassion and action through a new outreach effort called “Good Neighbors.”

In these difficult times, we must support our neighbors. The TCC Board of Deacons is leading an effort to pair SNAP recipients with willing donors who can help them get through the upcoming reduction in benefits. This initiative embodies the church’s commitment to caring for one another and ensuring that no member of our community is left behind.

Through “Good Neighbors,” TCC hopes to strengthen the bonds of empathy, kindness, and mutual support that make Tewksbury such a special place to live.
