Tewksbury Select Board Meeting

The Tewksbury Select Board meets at 7pm in the first-floor meeting room at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Read the meeting agenda HERE. Agenda items include a presentation from the Tewksbury School Facilities Study Committee; a review of the Annual & Special Town Meeting warrant articles; a discussion of the Shawsheen Tech’s Warrant Article for a School Feasibility Study; a discussion of the Trahan School Amendment to Option to Lease; a discussion of the naming of Town Hall; and response to an Open Meeting Law complaint. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be televised live on Tewksbury Telemedia (Comcast 99 & Verizon 33) and streamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.

Tewksbury Planning Board Meeting

The Tewksbury Planning Board meets at 7pm in the large hall at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Read the meeting agenda HERE. The agenda appears light, but does include a continued public hearing involving the proposed project at 15 & 41 Astle Street. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be televised live on Tewksbury Telemedia (Comcast 6 & Verizon 33) and streamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.

Heath Brook School Council Meeting

Music Bingo @ Wamesit Lanes

Tewksbury High School’s Indoor Walking Track Open

The Tewksbury Memorial High School’s indoor walking track is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 4pm to 7pm, in March.

Celebrating Queer Culture — Past & Present @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting “Celebrating Queer Culture — Past & Present” at 6:30pm in its Meeting Room. The American LGBTQ+ rights movement has been shaped by decades of courage, creativity, and community. From the Stonewall Riots and early pioneers like Marsha P. Johnson and Sylvia Rivera to today’s Pride events, drag culture, and social media advocacy, LGBTQ+ people have pushed for change and visibility. This session explores key figures and moments that have defined queer culture in the United States, and highlights how the movement continues to grow. Led by a trainer from Greater Boston PFLAG. This event is part of a year-long series sponsored by The Prevention Partners of Northern Middlesex (PPNM), with the Town of Tewksbury, under the Winchester Hospital LGBTQAI+ grant funding. The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a webinar — “New York’s Secret Subway — The Origins Of Mass Transit” — at 7pmvia ZOOM. The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a Bird Feeders Craft. It’s officially spring! Come celebrate with this fun, fine-motor craft. 8 Fitness Classes @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting 8 fitness/wellness classes today:

  • Forever Fit (9am)
  • Tap Dance (9:45am)
  • Men’s Stretch & Strengthen (10:30am)
  • Light Yoga (11am)
  • Yarnaholics (11:30am)
  • Bone Builders (12:30pm)
  • Ladies Only Billiards (1:30pm-4:30pm)
  • Bone Builders (2pm)
  • Gentle Yoga (3:30pm)
  • Cardio Drumming (4:30pm)

Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. Call the Senior Center at 978-640-4480 with any questions.

ALSO TODAY AT THE SENIOR CENTER: The Parkinson’s Support Group will hold its monthly meeting at 10am.
