Town Shares Updated Plans for Poplar Street, Mollie Drive Site Restoration Project

Tewksbury residents and visitors are invited to learn more about restoration work on Poplar Street, Mollie Drive.

The Tewksbury Community Development Department will host a follow-up meeting to share updated design plans for the upcoming restoration work at the former Poplar Street Well Fields site and Mollie Drive site. The session will take place on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 5:30 PM at Town Hall, 1009 Main Street.

The goal of this session is to provide an update to previously presented plans related to the flood plain, groundwater, and wetland restoration work planned for the Poplar Street and Mollie Drive sites within the Shawsheen River watershed to restore ecological function and solicit feedback. This plan revision incorporates feedback received at past outreach events and written comments from the public. Folks interested in this event will meet at Town Hall in the First Floor Meeting Room at 5:30 PM. Staff will walk through the 60% design plans and provide an outline for next steps before opening the room up to questions.

This meeting is open to the public, no registration required. If you have any questions, please reach out to the Conservation Agent Abigail Mahoney at amahoney@tewksbury-ma.gov or Town Planner Alexandra Lowder at alowder@tewksbury-ma.gov
