Tech Help Returns to Tewksbury Public Library

Turn to the TPL for support with your tech troubles.

Smart phones, computers, eReaders…oh my! There are so many ways to stay connected in this digital age but not all of these tools are the simplest to master. That’s where your friendly neighborhood librarians come in with the return of weekly Tech Help appointments at TPL!

Looking for help using library resources to access free eBooks from home? Do you need assistance navigating the settings on your new device? Book a tech help appointment!

What can staff help with?

  • Using Libby, Hoopla, Kanopy and other library resources
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic tablet skills
  • Basic phone skills
  • Using email
  • Using Microsoft Office and comparable programs

What can staff not help with?

  • Spyware and virus removal
  • Hardware problems
  • Job search and resume advice
  • Setting up a new device (including transferring files between devices)
  • Filling out forms, setting up accounts, or entering any sensitive information
  • Assistance composing, typing, or proofreading
  • Providing medical, legal, or business advice or opinions (but we can refer you to
    organizations that can)

As of September 2025, you can book a 30-minute appointment on Tuesday afternoons at 2:00pm or 2:30pm and Wednesday afternoons at 3:00pm to 3:30pm. Additional 30-minute appointments are coming later this autumn so stay tuned for additional appointment options.
