The Schofield family, owners of Wicked Cheesy Pizza, is honored with the Ginsburg Family Award following their nomination by the Tewksbury School Committee.
Tewksbury – In a heartfelt moment for the Tewksbury community, Wicked Cheesy Pizza was honored with the Ginsburg Family Award earlier this June, recognizing their nearly two decades of unwavering support and outstanding contributions to the town’s educational and youth initiatives.
Business owners Stephanie and Brian Schofield, who opened Wicked Cheesy Pizza in 2006, expressed deep gratitude for the recognition and reflected on the mission that has guided their journey since day one.
“This recognition means the world to us—not just as business owners, but as members of the Tewksbury community who care deeply about the success and spirit of our schools,” said Stephanie Schofield during the award acceptance ceremony.
Long before becoming parents themselves, the Schofields shared that they saw their pizzeria as more than just a business. They envisioned Wicked Cheesy as a hub for community engagement—a space where giving back would be woven into the fabric of their daily operations.
That vision has translated into years of steadfast support for local education, youth sports, and community events. From sponsoring Read-a-Thons and school musicals to providing pizza for sports team celebrations and after-school fundraisers, the Schofields have made it a priority to be a consistent and uplifting presence in the lives of Tewksbury’s youth.
“We wanted to be part of something bigger,” noted Brian Schofield. “It wasn’t just about business—it was about building relationships, showing up, and making a difference.”
The couple, who are proud parents to three children in the Tewksbury Public School system—Brady, Jackson, and Sydney—have also been deeply involved in the LEAP program at Tewksbury Memorial High School. For 15 years, they’ve served as mentors and champions of this vital initiative, further underscoring their commitment to education and youth development.
In accepting the award, the Schofield’s reflected on a quote from Marc Ginsburg—the award’s namesake: “If you enjoy success and can’t give back to the community, then shame on you.”
In receiving the Ginsburg Family Award, Wicked Cheesy Pizza joins a distinguished group of honorees whose contributions have left a lasting impact on Tewksbury’s students and educators.
The Schofields dedicated the award to their team, loyal customers, and the many educators, volunteers, and coaches who help create a thriving, caring community. They thank TMHS Principal Andy Long, TMHS Athletic Director Ron Drouin, and Kim Nadeau for their support and nomination.
“We’re so grateful to be part of something this special,” shared Stephanie. “Thank you for letting us serve—and grow—with you.”
Wicked Cheesy Pizza is located on Main Street in Tewksbury, where the Schofields remain committed to delivering community-focused service—one slice at a time.
