Tewksbury, MA – May 20, 2025 — Tewksbury Youth Lacrosse is excited to announce the its season-end event, “The LAX Hurrah,” happening Sunday, June 1st at 301 Livingston Street, Tewksbury. This family-friendly, community celebration marks the close of the 2025 spring season, bringing together players, families, and the community for a day packed with lacrosse, fundraising, and fun.

The LAX Hurrah features a full lineup of all home games, team photos, and activities, including:

– A brand-new 50/50 Helicopter Ball Drop at 12:30 p.m. — numbered balls will be dropped from a helicopter, with the closest to the target winning half the total funds raised. A unique and thrilling fundraiser, it’s expected to be the highlight of the day.
– The Fastest Shot Competition — back by popular demand, with players already gearing up to beat last year’s speeds and claim this year’s bragging rights.
– Local Food Trucks — popular area vendors will be onsite offering fan-favorite bites, generously donating a portion of sales back to Tewksbury Youth Lacrosse.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the Helicopter Ball Drop this year — it’s going to be a fantastic spectacle,” said George Phillips, TYL President. “And with lacrosse growing so quickly in Tewksbury, it’s great to see our families and local businesses rally around these events. We have 15 local businesses sponsoring our program this year, which is amazing. The Ginsburg Family is generously donating both their time and helicopter to make 50/50 Helicopter Ball Drop happen. The kids are especially excited to top their fastest shots from last year.”
