5k Fun Run/Walk: Strongwater Farms’s Strides Toward Mobility

Strongwater Farm’s Strides Toward Mobility – 5K Fun Run, on May 4th! May the Fourth Be With You!

Come join us at Strongwater Farm for a morning filled with fun, fitness, and community spirit. Lace up your running shoes and get ready to hit the trails for a good cause!

Whether you’re a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll, this event is perfect for all fitness levels. Walk, jog, or sprint your way through the scenic course surrounded by nature’s beauty through out the state forest.

“May the Fourth Be With You” as you are running – or strolling – through the forest across the street starting at 10 a.m. There are two routes so that all can be included in the event – one 5K that goes through trails with roots and “water obstacles,” and another, approximately 1 mile route, that is more friendly to our participants who want to ease through the morning, either walking, wheelchairs, or strollers – all are welcome to come out!

There will be a staggard start. The 5K participants will begin at 10 a.m., and the 1 Mile participants will begin 10 minutes later.

By participating in this 5K Fun Run, you’ll not only challenge yourself physically but also support a great cause. Your contribution will help promote mobility and independence for individuals in need. For instance, raising funds to support a Hoyer lift and adaptive riding gear like special saddles and gait belts.

So mark your calendars, gather your friends and family, and get ready to make a difference while having a blast at the Strongwater Farm’s Strides toward Mobility – 5K Fun Run!

Rain or shine – check in will be at the Perley Arena, in the parking lot. Parking is available up Green House Road at the Tewksbury Hospital. Once checked in, participants will grab their pennies, and then move to the start point across the street at the trail head.

The 5K course will go through corn fields, woods, and wet trails. This course is not stroller friendly. However, a seperate, shorter course that is more accomodating will be marked out for those who face mobility challenges or want to use strollers. NOTE: while leashed companions are allowed on the route, personal pets are not allowed on Strongwater Farm property, specifically behind the Perley Arena and around the paddock area. This is the for the safety of our equine partners and everyone around.

Games and fun activities will be available for families in the outdoor arena while the runners work up a sweat! After the run, families can take a walk through the paddocks to meet some of the horses.

*Feel free to wear your Star Wars themed gear – May the Fourth Be With You!*

If you would like to donate to the cause, with or without working up a sweat, you can donate by clicking this link here.

Any support would be greatly appreciated!
