The 17th annual High School Musical Theatre Awards nominees will be honored at a “red-carpet” awards gala modeled after Broadway’s Tony Awards on June 2 at Theater at the Mount, at Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner.

Additional Town Committee Opening
We recently ran news of open seats on various town boards and committees. There is one additional opening, on the Tewksbury Finance Committee. Town Meeting attendees know that this is an important committee — they work with the Town Manager on budgets and recommend adoption of fiscal articles. Applications are due by June 1.

Neighbor News: New Mexican Takeout
Food blogger Marc Hurwitz of the Boston Restaurant Talk blog reports that Taqueria Sabor Chilango has opened in North Billerica, in the space that previously housed Herby Q next to Zesty’s Pizza.

The new eatery bills itself as a “Family-Owned Authentic Mexican Restaurant.” It is takeout only, with its menu including tacos, tortas, burritos, enchiladas, quesadillas, breakfast dishes and more. It’s gotten excellent reviews, with one customer saying “We had mole enchiladas, a chicken quesadilla and carnitas burrito and it was all fantastic. Don’t forget the extra guac and flan for dessert.”
