How It Works: 3 Ways to Save Money With Your Library Card

The benefits don’t end with free books, magazines, music and movies

By Nicole Goolishian, Assistant Director, and Haley Lawrence, Children’s Specialist, Tewksbury Public Library

With just a few clicks at tewksburypl.org or a quick visit to the Circulation Desk, you’ll have an eCard or library card that will open so many doors for you in no time at all.

Check out some money-saving tips below to start putting your new library card to work today:

1. Discounted museum and local attraction passes
Looking to explore something new this weekend? Grab a discount pass from the library and visit one of our many local attraction options for up to 50% off admission. Why spend $34.00 per adult and $25.00 per child at the New England Aquarium when you can spend half as much?

Reserve your passes here to over ten local museums and attractions.

2. Try before you buy!

Interested in a new board or video game? Try it out here before you commit to that hefty price tag. With everything from PS5 to Nintendo Switch games, there are options for all ages to test out the latest game releases.

3. Free social and educational events

Attend virtual or in-person events for all ages on a variety of topics ranging from crafting to gardening. Every week there are dozens of event options so you are sure to find something you’ll love each week, all for free. Check out the latest events in the online event calendar and sign-up for the weekly newsletter to stay up-to-date on what’s coming this summer.

Already have a library card? Calculate how much you’ve saved by using the library’s online value calculator. Let us know how much you’ve saved by tagging @TewksburyLib on social media.
