It’s School Vacation Week. Here’s What to Know In Tewksbury

Happy Patriot’s Day! No school buses means roadwork, so avoid Whipple Rd. and Victor Dr. if you can

In preparation for paving, the town will begin milling Whipple Road from the intersection of Pine Street to Pond Street on Tuesday. The milling and paving work is anticipated to last one to two weeks, depending on weather. Local access to business and residents will be allowed, but a detour will be set up to redirect traffic to Pond Street during working hours. The town is also working on Victor Dr. this week. Check the new Roadway Resurfacing website for maps and details.

Time to grab advance tickets for The Tewksbury Memorial High School Theater Company’s spring musical, The Addams Family School Edition. Tickets are just $10 and are available now. There are showings on April 25 and April 26 at 7 p.m. and two shows on April 27, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Small-branch pick-up will take place April 16 to April 19.  Please remember to place bundled small branches curbside by 7 a.m. on Monday.  Yard waste pickup starts April 22 and runs through June. Again, waste should be curbside by 7:00 a.m. on Monday.

Looking ahead, the second annual Friends of the Tewksbury Library Wine Tasting event will be held at OneStop Oakdale Liquors on Tuesday, April 23 at 6 p.m. There will be a variety of wines to try and special buys. Tickets are $20 at the door or $15 in advance, available here.
