Local institution recognized for community education
At the recent Credit Union Financial Education Network conference held in Burlington, Vermont, Tewksbury Federal Credit Union received three awards in the $150 million or less asset size category.
TFCU took third place for the most student presentations, second place for the most adult presentations and first place for the most adults reached.
“We are extremely proud of our efforts to serve the Tewksbury community and help our members improve their financial situation by increasing their knowledge of financial concepts,” said CEO Maureen Montecalvo. “We hope to further our outreach in the coming year to create a stronger and more knowledgeable community.”
According to Montecalvo, this is the first time TFCU has received an award for financial education. She credits the entire team of dedicated employees who bring a feeling of comfort to both long-standing members and those who are just beginning their financial journeys.
