2023 Back to School Directory

The school bells will be ringing before you know it. Here’s what you need to know before the first day

This year, the first day of school is August 30. As usual the kids will go Wednesday and Thursday and have Friday off for the Labor Day weekend.

If your child is unfamiliar with their new school, or their new classroom, there are open houses you can attend.

School hours on full days — please note some of these times have changed from last year:

TMHS: 7:30-1:50

Wynn Middle School: 7:35-1:55

Ryan School: 8:05-2:25

Elementary schools: 8:45-3:05

School hours on early release days:

TMHS: 7:30-10:40

Wynn Middle School: 7:35-10:45

Ryan School: 8:05-11:15

Elementary schools: 8:45-11:55

Once school has started, a good way to stay in the loop is through the PACs. The PACs, or Parent Advisory Councils, fundraise to provide arts and enrichment opportunities, school events, teacher appreciation, the after-graduation All Night Long Party and various other needs that arise throughout the school year.

Finally, to stay up-to-date on policies and programs, check out your Tewksbury School Committee meetings in person or on YouTube. Administrators provide status reports and updates on new programs. Watching these meetings is a great way to stay informed.
