Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber Of Commerce To Hold Chamber Chat At WCTV

The Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce and Wilmington Community Television is hosting a free Business to Business Open House for Chamber members and any local businesses, from 9am to 11am, at WCTV Headquarters (10 Waltham Street). This is a great opportunity for local businesses to see how WCTV can utilize media performance and services to expand a business’s digital marketplace. Library Webinar: The Curse Of The Blumenthals — 3 Generations Of Secrets, Crimes & Lies

The Tewksbury Public Library is holding a webinar — The Curse Of The Blumenthals — 3 Generations Of Secrets, Crimes & Lies — at 7pm via ZOOM. Bestselling author and award-winning journalist Phyllis Karas will discuss her new book, Curse of the Blumenthals, the history of one close-knit New England-based, Jewish American family and their dark relationship with alcohol, from bootlegging arrests in 1920s Providence, a drunk driver killing six members of their family in 1935, the 1954 murder of a Boston seamstress committed by teenager Ronnie Blumenthal, to Ronnie’s death and burial in 2012 in an unmarked pauper’s grave, ending the curse. Karas — a Blumenthal cousin — is the author of a dozen books, taught journalism at Boston University, and was a stringer for People magazine. Supporting Caregivers of LGBTQIA+ Youth at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library is holding “Supporting Caregivers of LGBTQIA+ Youth” at 6:30pm in its Meeting Room. Caregivers play a vital role in helping youth explore and understand their identities. This training provides parents, family members, and trusted adults with practical guidance on how to approach conversations about identity in a supportive and respectful way. You’ll learn how to create a safe and loving space for young people to express themselves, while gaining tools to navigate challenges. Special focus is given to the experiences of LGBTQ+ youth and how caregivers can affirm and support their unique journeys. Led by a trainer from Greater Boston PFLAG. No registration required. This event is part of a year-long series sponsored by The Prevention Partners of Northern Middlesex (PPNM), with the Town of Tewksbury, under the Winchester Hospital LGBTQAI+ grant funding.
