Tewksbury Select Board & School Committee Joint Meeting

The Tewksbury Select Board & Tewksbury School Committee are holding a Joint Meeting at 6:30pm in Room LG1-1 at Tewksbury Memorial High School (139 Pleasant Street). The boards will be discussing whether to submit a Statement of Interest for a school building project to the Massachusetts School Building Authority. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be televised live on Tewksbury Telemedia (Comcast 99, Verizon 33) and streamed live on the town’s YouTube channel.

Town/School Wellness Advisory Committee Meeting

The Town/School Wellness Advisory Committee meets at 3:30pm in the Tewksbury High School’s Library (320 Pleasant Street). Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public.

Red Cross Blood Drive @ Masonic Hall

The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive at the Masonic Hall (70 Victor Drive) from 1:30pm to 7pm. Interested donors can call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to book an appointment. Donors can also visit http://www.redcross.org to schedule an appointment.

495th R/C Squadron Meeting

The 495th R/C Squadron — a Model Airplane, Helicopter, and R/C Car & Truck Club based in Tewksbury –meets at 7:30pm the first Wednesday evening of each month at the Tewksbury Congregational Church (10 East Street). Their April 1 meeting will feature a “Show & Tell” from members. New members are welcome.

Library Webinar: Behind The Judicial Curtain — Secrets Of A Trial Judge

The Tewksbury Public Library is holding a webinar — “Johann Sebastian Bach — A Genius Revived” –at 7pm via ZOOM. Retired Massachusetts Superior Court Justice Dennis Curran will discuss the behind-the-scenes process by which judges make their decisions: how bail is set, how sentencing decisions are made, how a criminal trial works, what juries really think, whether Massachusetts juries are “giving away the store,” how judges are selected, the difference between appointed versus elected judges, how jurors are chosen, specialty courts (such as drug and gun courts), and the challenges of being fair, and yet also adhering to the law. Tewksbury 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group Virtual Meeting

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its bi-weekly meeting of its 50+ Job Seekers Networking Group at 9:30am via ZOOM. This showing is for all ages and is sensory inclusive. This means that quiet is not expected or anticipated.
