Open Space & Recreation Plan Open Forum

Join town officials at 6pm at the Tewksbury Recreation Center (286 Livingston Street) for a session which focuses on reviewing draft goals for open space, recreation, and natural areas to gather input for the Town of Tewksbury Open Space and Recreation Plan Update for 2026-2036. Light refreshments will be served. The event is open to the public, and light refreshments will be served. While registration is encouraged at engage.nmcog.org/tewksburyosrp, it is not required. Residents with questions may contact Town Planner Alexandra Lowder at alowder@tewksbury-ma.gov.

Shawsheen Tech School Committee Meeting

The Shawsheen Tech School Committee meets at 7pm in the school’s conference room (100 Cook Street, Billerica). Read the agenda HERE. Audits, feasibility study funding, and the evaluation of the superintendent are some of the items on the agenda. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be streamed live on the school’s YouTube channel.

Tewksbury School Committee’s Policy Subcommittee Meeting

The Tewksbury School Committee’s Policy Subcommittee meets at 11am in the District Administration Offices’ Large Conference Room (139 Pleasant Street). Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public.

Weekly Bingo Night @ Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge

The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks holds a Bingo Night every Tuesday night at its Lodge (777 South Street). The Bingo is open to all — not just Elks members. Doors open at 4pm. Game sheet sales begin at 5:45pm. Game begins at 6:45pm. Players may bring snacks. Dinner items (often pizza) is also available to purchase. Coffee, tea and water are free of charge. Weekly Bingo Afternoon @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) holds Bingo every Tuesday afternoon. Players should arrive between 11:30am and 12:20pm, during which time game sheets are available. Bingo begins at 12:45pm. Players may bring a lunch or snacks. The event is run by volunteers with the Golden Age Club.

Weekly Veterans Coffee Social @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Veteran’s Services Department holds a free coffee social every Tuesday at 10am, typically at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) in its library/media room. No registration is necessary.

Interior Design Tips with Jordan Pitzen @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a Interior Design Tips with Jordan Pitze at 6:30pm its first-floor Meeting Room. Spring and summer are about bringing the outside in, renewal, & being outdoors more. Learn simple, affordable updates that will make your indoor space feel fresh, airy, and connected to the outdoors. The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a webinar — “A Look At Contemporary Trans & Queer Literature” at 6:30pm on ZOOM. Lambda Award-Winning author Zefyr Lisowski will discuss trends and themes in contemporary queer and trans literature — including intimacy, disclosure, and concealment Her talk will feature excerpts from a number of recent books and will also be accompanied by a generative writing prompt. Library Virtual Lecture: Old Growth Forests Of New England

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a webinar — “Old Growth Forests Of New England” at 7pm on ZOOM. Old-growth forests are relatively rare in New England. Learn how to recognize the unique physical characteristics, important ecological attributes, and wildlife that favor such forests, and their importance as carbon reserves to help cool our planet. Finish with a visual tour of several of the finest old-growth forests across this region, where ancient trees are a source of awe and inspiration. Led by David Govatsk, a forester and environmental consultant who worked for the U.S. Forest Service for more than thirty years. Friendship Bracelets For Teens @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding Friendship Bracelets for Teens in the Meeting Room. Teens will have beaded bracelets and woven bracelets designs and can make as many as they’d like in the time allowed. This event is for teens in Grades 6-12. Registration is FULL.

Cupcake Decorating For Kids @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a Cupcake Decorating Class for kids in the Craft Room. Enjoy frosting and decorating, then take them home to share! This event is open to children in Kindergarten through Grades 5. Registration is FULL.

Barks & Books @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Benny from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Benny. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.

Spring Bunny Decor Workshop @ Kyoto

Kyoto Japanese Steak House (1487 Main Street) is hosting a Spring Bunny Decor Workshop at 6:30pm. Instructors from April’s Way Custom Creations. Arts & Crafts + Exercise Classes @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting several arts & crafts and exercise classes today:

  • Healthy Living Weight Loss Support (8:45am)
  • Wood Carving (9:30am)
  • Piecemakers Quilters for Charity (11am)
  • Bingo (12:45pm)
  • Independent Painting (1pm)
  • Fit For All (4:30pm)

Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate.
