Soldier On Opens Applications for Tewksbury Veterans Housing

Those interested can download the application and attend an info session.

Soldier On is pleased to announce that applications for the Tewksbury Gordon H. Mansfield Veterans Village are now open. These apartments, managed by Soldier On, are designed to provide crucial housing and wraparound services to area veterans.

To assist with the application process and address any questions or concerns, Soldier On will host a series of in-person informational sessions at the Tewksbury Senior Center beginning on May 29. These sessions will provide attendees with an opportunity to gain insight into the program, seek clarification on eligibility criteria, and complete applications on-site.

Please refer to the flyer, below, for the dates and times of these sessions.

There is also an application form available now. Download here.

The Tewksbury Soldier On veteran’s housing project is at 1660 Main St., adjacent to Heatherwood. There will be 18 one-bedroom and three studio apartments available. All will be fully furnished and come with wraparound services including meals, transportation and telehealth. Any veteran is eligible to submit an application. Rents will range from $1,369 to $1,518, with assistance available. Income limits do apply — nine of the units are at 80% of AMI (area median income), or $66,300; six are at 50% AMI, or $46,350; and six are at 30% or $27,800.

For further information or assistance, please attend a session or contact Courtney Dondi at 413-770-1390 or via email at cdondi@wesoldieron.org.
