The Wilmington Apple, Burlington Buzz and Reading Post on the regional dining scene
Here’s what’s happening locally, courtesy of neighboring hyperlocal news sources.
The Wilmington Apple reports that the Wilmington Select Board recently approved an earth removal permit for ALRIG USA Development, which is building a new commercial development just over the Tewksbury line at 208 Main St., the old Rite Aid location. That development is slated to include a Chipotle and a Chase Bank, among other tenants. The the Rite Aid building will be torn down, and ALRIG is redesigning the shared driveway between 208 Main St. and the abutting property.

The Apple also reports that Tremezzo Pizzeria, at 296 Shawsheen Ave., changed ownership as of March 1. A name change is expected soon. If you have a gift card, you can use it at Tremezzo Ristorante or Josie’s Bakery. And, AJ’s Kitchen at 162 Lowell St. is accepting donations for the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism this month. Look for the donation box on the counter. AJ’s will match up to $2,000 in donations.
The Burlington Buzz recently reported that Goodnight Johnny’s is open for lunch and dinner at 154 Cambridge St. The restaurant and bar will host four musical performances a week and aims to deliver high-quality American comfort food at affordable prices with a side of live entertainment.
The Buzz also reported on a website by Brandon Mackie, an avid Pickleball player based in Scottsdale, Arizona. Brandon’s website, Pickleheads, is a self-described “digital home for pickleball” and features an exhaustive list of pickleball courts across the country.
The Reading Post says that the Select Board approved an all-alcohol restaurant liquor license for Parc Restaurant Group’s soon to be open steakhouse, Post 1917. The name references the former use of the 134 Haven St. site as a post office and the date listed on the post office’s architectural plans. The website offers a number to call for reservations.
