James F. Mackey III is running for re-election for the Tewksbury Select Board. James is a fourth-generation resident of Tewksbury, and as “senior” members of his family, we proudly endorse him to serve for another term.
James is a U.S. Army veteran, having proudly served his country for 13 years. His former Commander characterized him as “demonstrating integrity and a commitment to excellence” that made James a valuable member of their team.
For the past three years, James has used these skills as well as his knowledge and experience to become a valuable member of the Select Board team. He brought new ideas and energy to the Board, and he is involved in the town’s Veterans Affairs, having championed recently expanded elderly and veteran tax benefits.
In addition, James’ efforts:
- Led to a cost savings of roughly $8 million on the DPW and School Department building and renovation project, without compromising quality.
- Tripled the annual water main replacement rate to help bring Tewksbury clean and reliable water.
- Secured roughly $250,000 in grants and donations for vital cyber-security improvements.
James initiated and oversaw Phase 1 of the new town website, making information more accessible for residents. He forged a partnership with the Massachusetts Army National Guard to help keep Tewksbury data and infrastructure secure.
For these reasons, we ask you to keep James as a member of the Select Board for three more years.
We know James as a strong, caring, independent, intelligent gentleman who is always ready to listen, learn, and help others. He is dedicated to the betterment of our community and is invested in long-term improvements. He would like to remain on the board to continue working on more projects for our town.
We ask you to please consider joining us and vote for James F. Mackey III to be reelected for the Tewksbury Select Board on Saturday, April 6.
