Nominations Watch: Who’s Pulled Papers?

With 8 days left, there’s at least one candidate for each open seat

Here are your neighbors who have taken out, and returned, nomination papers for Town of Tewksbury elected offices. The deadline for having signature papers back to the town clerk is 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 16.

Resident Christine Janeczak pulled papers yesterday for the two-year unexpired seat on the Tewksbury Board of Health. Janeczak is currently in a management position for a federal agency and told the Carnation that she has a great interest in public health and compliance and is looking to serve the community.

“During Covid I saw the importance of local health offices and staff,” said Janeczak. “I’ve seen the town grow and have seen many changes. I feel I would be a good addition on the Board of Health, and will strive to be fair, and impartial to others.”

Thomas Bowley, Jomarie Buckley, John Deputat, Vincent Fratalia, Bridget Garabedian, James Mackey and Eric Ryder have secured enough voter signatures to officially qualify for the ballot. School Committee candidate Chris Moncada says he expects to turn in close to 100 signatures later today.

An * denotes an incumbent, and a (Q) indicates that the candidate has qualified to be on the ballot by turning in papers with at least 50 registered voters’ signatures.
