Tewksbury location of popular Malden Mexican eatery starts serving at 4 p.m.
The 3 Amigos Bar & Grill opens today at 4 p.m. at 1777 Main St., in the space previously occupied by Bobby & Jack’s Memphis Barbecue. The Carnation dropped by for a sneak peek yesterday and found the layout largely the same, with new, original artwork.

The new restaurant is by the owners of the 3 Amigos Bar & Grill at 375 Main St. in Malden. Offerings include seared tuna tacos, parrillada and whole red snapper, but the menu also features items not usually found at a Mexican restaurant, such as osso bucco, seafood linguini, fish and chips and a shrimp BLT sandwich.
The bar still has TVs for watching the game, and there are a wide variety of margaritas available as well as beer, wine and soft drinks including Mexican Coca Cola. There is a children’s menu.

This is the fourth specialty cuisine to occupy the location. Before Bobby & Jack’s launched with BBQ in 2018, the 8,300 square foot restaurant was home to Mehfil Indian Cuisine, which took it over from a Chinese buffet. While the overall plaza has been sold, there are nine years left on the lease, according to Bobby & Jack’s owner Bob Ryan, who in July told us that the decision to sell was difficult but the best all-around choice.
The menu is posted on the 3 Amigos Facebook page.
