Rabies Clinic Scheduled for Saturday

Free microchipping, and you can pick up a 2023 license

A rabies inoculation clinic for dogs and cats has been scheduled for Saturday, April 15, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Tewksbury Senior Center, 175 Chandler Street. Licensed veterinarians from Shawsheen Animal Hospital will be providing the services.

Please remember to bring your pet’s previously issued rabies certificate, which will determine whether the animal will receive a one-year or three-year vaccination series. Please be advised that if your pet has received a three-year vaccination at any point in the past, it is eligible to receive the three-year vaccine again. You must provide proof at the time of vaccination.

Dogs must be at least six months of age, and all dogs must be on a leash. Cats must be in a cage or box, or handheld and restrained by the owner. The fee is $25 per dog or cat.

Free microchips will be provided by Bullied Breeds Rescue. For the dog owner’s convenience, Town Clerk staff will be there to issue 2023 Annual Dog Licenses. Please call Animal Control with further questions at 978-215-9639.
