The two-acre parcel at 402 Main St. housing Tewksbury Florist & Greenery is on the market for $2.5 million.
The land is in the General Business zoning district — which does allow for medical and adult recreational marijuana sales — and has 160 feet of frontage on Rt. 38. The property includes a 2,248 s.f. home and a 2,800 s.f. store.
If a buyer wished to continue the existing florist & greenery business, the cost would rise to $4,100,000.
Tewksbury Florist & Greenery has operated a permanent shop year-round since 1959. It sells seasonal plants and flowers, perennials, shrubs and trees, and garden accessories. There is also a landscaping and masonry component.
Under Tewksbury’s new zoning bylaw, General Business allows by-right residential units only above the ground floor of a commercial business. The Planning Board may allow other uses, including assisted living and congregate care units. Other by-right uses include a restaurant, child-care center, veterinary hospital and bed-and-breakfast.
