By Alexia and Christine Chesbrough

The TMHS Drama Club’s Showing of CLUE

Today through Sunday residents can catch the TMHS Drama Club’s production of Clue. Join the eclectic crew of Professor Plum, Ms. Scarlett, Colonel Mustard and all your favorite classic characters as they struggle to find out, WHO DID IT?

While tickets may be on sale at the door, depending on availability, the producers suggest securing your seats ahead of time because social-distancing requirements mean fewer tickets are for sale for each show. At just $10, they’re selling quickly. You can select and purchase your seats now online. If you have questions, please email Celeste Pellegrino at cpellegrino@tewksbury.k12.ma.us.

Nomadland The Movie

World Kindness Day
When:
Saturday, Nov. 13

World Kindness Day is a globally observed opportunity to remember the importance of being kind to each other, to yourself and to the world. The purpose of this day, celebrated on November 13 each year, is to help everyone understand that compassion for others is what binds us all together.

Tewksbury Democratic Town Committee

Saturday, Nov. 13, 10 a.m.
Where: Tewksbury Town Hall.

Residents interested in hearing from candidates Danielle Allen, Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz and Ben Downing are invited to join the TDTC at its regular meeting. Allen, Chang-Diaz and Downing have all thrown their hats into the ring for the 2022 primary race and the opportunity to challenge Gov. Charlie Baker. Tewksbury’s legislative delegation often provides updates at these meetings as well.

FoTPL Intake of Decorations, Yard Sale Items

Where: Tewksbury Public Library

Next week is Friends Week, where the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library will share info on the various ways the group supports the programs and events the library puts on year ’round and how you can become involved. To kick off the week, the Friends will accept unneeded holiday decorations and new, unused items for their first indoor yard sale, to be held next Saturday, Nov. 20. If you have lights, ornaments or other decorations large or small that you’re not using, or unused household items, drop them off between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

Where: 1875 Main St.

The new store features handmade items from local craftspeople and plans to hold classes and special events at its roomy venue, next to Mac’s ice cream and below La Scala Bridal salon. There will be snacks and raffles on Saturday.

Tuscan Village Holiday Market Stroll
When: Saturday, Nov. 13, noon to 6 p.m.
Where: Tuscan Village in Salem, NH

Residents looking to take a drive can venture up to Salem for an outdoor vendor fair. There will be gifts, food, drinks, music, crafters and games.

ONGOING HAPPENINGS

In ongoing events, the Tewksbury Food Pantry is collecting donations all week ahead of its annual Thanksgiving distribution. Residents may drop off nonperishable items at dropboxes around town or at the pantry at 999 Whipple Road. Donations may also be dropped off at Tewksbury Dental Associates at 1438 Main St. through November 16.

Tewksbury continues to battle Wilmington for the The Reading Cup in the towns’ first annual “Reading Rivals” Competition. Residents can win weekly $25 gift cards along the way and be entered into the grand prize raffle for completing a minimum of three hours of reading.

The competition is tight, so every hour counts between now and when the contest ends on November 24. Join in with your existing Beanstack account, or sign up for one here.

Local organizations that want their events listed are invited to contact Christine Chesbrough via the Connected Facebook group or send their info to editor@tewksburycarnation.org.
