2021 Veterans Day Deals and Discounts

Every year, companies offer freebies and discounts to veterans and active-duty service members. The American Legion gathers these offers; here’s what Tewksbury veterans can take advantage of locally.



Get a free coffee or Big Gulp® on Memorial Day, July 4th, and Veterans Day.


Veterans and active-duty military receive a free meal when dining in from a special menu on November 11. And when dining in on November 11, military guests will receive a $5 bounce back card to redeem for dine-in, To Go or delivery within three weeks.

Veterans and active military personnel get a free Build Your Own Grand Slam on November 11, from 5 a.m. to noon. Dine-in only.

Free Georgia Chopped Pork sandwich + side for all military personnel all day November 11.

Olive Garden

Free entrée from a special menu. Entrées are served with unlimited soup or house salad and garlic breadsticks. Offer good for veterans and active duty military; proof of service required.

On The Border

Veterans and current service members will receive a free Pick-2 Combo Meal. Dine-in only, proof of service required. Participating locations only.

Outback Steakhouse

Free Bloomin’ Onion and your choice of any Coca-Cola® product. Offer available for dine-in or to-go (call-in orders only, not available online). Veterans, active-duty military and reservists get a free appetizer or dessert from a special menu on November 11. Dine-in only.

Red Robin

Veterans and active-duty military who are Red Robin Royalty members can redeem a free Red’s Tavern Double Burger with Bottomless Steak Fries November 1 through November 14 for dine-in or to-go. You must register for Red Robin’s Royalty Program with military designation by Monday, November 1.

Ruby Tuesday

Free sandwich with fries or tots at participating locations, proof of service required. .

Texas Roadhouse

Texas Roadhouse will hand out dinner vouchers at the stores’ parking lots on November 11, from 11am to 2pm. Veterans and active-duty military can redeem their dinner vouchers when the restaurant opens for dinner, through May 30, 2022.

T.G.I. Friday’s

Bed and Breakfast for Vets – Free Hotel Stay, Nov. 11, 2021 

B&Bs for Vets has organized dozens of participating Bed and Breakfasts and Inns across the US and Canada which will be offering veterans a free night’s stay on and around Veterans Day. This offer is available to both active duty military members and veterans with ID, but space is limited. Each Inn and B&B has at least one room available for this promotion and reservations must be made directly through the participating Inns and B&Bs. For more information visit

Brides Across America Free Wedding Gown Events

Brides Across America offers free wedding gown events twice a year, around the Fourth of July and Veterans Day. Brides Across America, a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization, provides eligible military brides with a free wedding dress. In general, you qualify if you are a military bride/first responder (or the fiancé of a military member or first responder). Participants must attend an event to choose a wedding gown. A $40 tax-deductible registration fee is paid when registering for the event. The fee covers administrative costs associated with running the event.

GM offers special savings for the military November 2 through 30. 

Great Clips

On November 11, veterans and active military members can visit a U.S. Great Clips salon and receive either a free haircut that day or a free haircut card. In addition, non-military customers who get a haircut on Veterans Day at Great Clips salons can pay it forward. They will receive a free haircut card they can give to an active service member or veteran as a way of saying thank you. The cards can be redeemed for a free haircut from November 12 through December 10, 2021.

Many barbershops and salons are offering free haircuts on Veterans Day. Some national chains include Great Clips and Sport Clips. Contact your local shop to see if they are offering a free haircut.

Home Depot

Home Depot offers a 10% discount to all veterans on November 11.

Active and retired service members and their registered dependents get 20% off online after verification. Apply for your Heroes discount code before November 14, then redeem your code by November 21.


Veterans and active-duty military get either a Free Basic Oil Change or 50% off Synthetic Oil Change on November 11 at participating centers.

Sleep Number

Military and veteran families receive 20% off all smart beds, all adjustable bases and most bedding with promo code November 2 to November 22.


Active-duty military personnel, reservists, retired or disabled veterans and their immediate families get a 25% discount November 7 through 13.


Target is offering a 10% discount from October 31 through November 13 to active-duty military personnel, veterans and their families. The discount can be used on two separate transactions and applies to all in-basket items, online and in-store.


Walgreens is offering a Veterans Day 20% discount on eligible regular priced items to veterans, military and their families, November 11 through 15. In-store offer only valid in Walgreens or Duane Reade stores.
