Tewksbury DPW Open House & Ribbon Cutting

The new Tewksbury Department of Public Works and School Maintenance Facility (999 Whipple Road) to holding an all-ages Open House from noon to 4pm. A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony will be held at 1pm. Get a behind-the-scenes look at the people, equipment, and services that keep the town running each day. The event will feature: Touch-A-Truck, equipment demos, meet DPW staff, tours, snacks, and giveaways.

Tewksbury Select Board Meeting

The Tewksbury Select Board is holding a meeting at 7pm in the Main Hall at Tewksbury Town Hall (1009 Main Street). The Select Board will discuss the town’s economic development committee, the housing authority, sale of foreclosed property, and formalizing a board complaint policy. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will streamed live on the town’s YouTube channel and air live on Comcast 99 and Verizon 33.

Tewksbury Council On Aging Meeting

The Tewksbury Council on Aging is holding a meeting at 3pm in the Conference Room at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street). Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public.

Weekly Bingo Night at Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge

The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks holds a Bingo Night every Tuesday night at its Lodge (777 South Street). The Bingo is open to all — not just Elks members. Doors open at 4pm. Game sheet sales begin at 5:45pm. Game begins at 6:45pm. Players may bring snacks. Dinner items (often pizza) is also available to purchase. Coffee, tea and water are free of charge. Weekly Bingo Afternoon at Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) holds Bingo every Tuesday afternoon. Players should arrive between 11:30am and 12:20pm, during which time game sheets are available. Bingo begins at 12:45pm. Players may bring a lunch or snacks. The event is run by volunteers with the Golden Age Club.

The Tewksbury Veteran’s Services Department holds a free coffee social every Tuesday at 10am, typically at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) in its library/media room. No registration is necessary.

Friends of the Library’s Mac’s Dairy Farm Fundraiser

Join the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library for their annual dine out fundraiser from 11am to 9pm at Mac’s Dairy Farm (1863 Main Street). Proceeds from your purchase will be donated to the Friends of the Library in support of events for all ages – just mention the Friends when making your purchase!

TMHS Softball Fundraiser at Angelina’s

The Tewksbury Memorial High School’s Softball team is holding a Dine-Out fundraiser at Angelina’s (1886 Main Street) from 3pm to 8pm. Show this flyer and 15% of your proceeds will benefit the team.

Library Virtual Lecture: The Musicals Of Gower Champion

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a webinar — “The Musicals Of Gower Champion” at 7pm on ZOOM. Enjoy an in-depth look at how director/choreographer Gower Champion crafted some of the most popular musicals of the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s, including Bye Bye Birdie; Hello, Dolly; 42nd Street; and more. Led by Clint Edwards, a New York-based composer, arranger, and pianist, who lectures on the history of music. Learn more and register HERE.

Barks & Books at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Benny from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Benny. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.

Arts & Crafts + Exercise Classes At Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting several arts & crafts and exercise classes today:

  • Bone Builders (8:15am)
  • Healthy Living Weight Loss Support (8:45am)
  • Wood Carving (9:30am)
  • Piecemakers Quilters for Charity (11am)
  • Bingo (12:45pm)
  • Independent Painting (1pm)
  • Fit For All (4:30pm)

Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. Taco Tuesdays at Oscar’s Pinatas

Oscar’s Pinatas (346 Main Street) is holding its weekly Taco Tuesday special. Customers can enjoy 99 cent tacos. Dine-in only. The restaurant also offers free karaoke every night from 9pm to 12:45am.

TMHS Sports: Baseball, Lacrosse & Tennis In Action

The Tewksbury High Girls Varsity Tennis Team visits Academy of Notre Dame at 3:15pm, The Tewksbury High Varsity Girls Lacrosse Team hosts Stoneham High at 4pm at Doucette Stadium. The Tewksbury High Varsity Boys Lacrosse Team travels to Burlington High at 4pm.
