Tewksbury Federal Credit Union Supports Troop 49 with Donation Toward 2028 High Adventure Trip

Tewksbury Scout Troop 49 is honored for their achievements

Tewksbury, MA — March 31, 2026 — Troop 49 of Tewksbury proudly hosted a special presentation during its Court of Honor on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at St. William’s Parish Center. The Court of Honor is a key tradition in Scouting, providing an opportunity to recognize the hard work, dedication, and achievements of Scouts as they progress through the program. In addition to celebrating Scouts earning merit badges, rank advancements, and special awards, the ceremony also recognized a generous contribution from Tewksbury Federal Credit Union.

Representing the credit union was John Ivas, an Eagle Scout who earned Scouting’s highest rank with Tewksbury Troop 49 on January 24, 2001. During the ceremony, Mr. Ivas presented a donation on behalf of Tewksbury Federal Credit Union to support the troop’s future programming.

The funds will be dedicated to helping Scouts participate in the Polaris ATV Experience, part of a High Adventure trip planned for the summer of 2028 at the Bechtel Summit in West Virginia. This unique experience will offer Scouts the opportunity to develop leadership skills, build confidence, and take part in an exciting outdoor challenge.
