Intergenerational Bingo With Police Department @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center and the Tewksbury Police Department are hosting Intergenerational Bingo from 10am to noon in the Large Hall at the Senior Center (175 Chandler Street).

Bingo Club @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a meeting of its Library Bingo Club at 10:15am. Enjoy a morning of bingo in this fun, low-stakes atmosphere. Library Virtual Lecture: The Remarkable Life & Career Of Lee Miller

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding an art history webinar — “The Remarkable Life & Career Of Lee Miller” — at 2pm on ZOOM. Explore the remarkable life of Lee Miller, who evolved from fashion model and photographer to a fearless World War II correspondent. Reporting for Vogue, she documented the London Blitz, the Liberation of Paris, and the horrors of Dachau with striking honesty and compassion. Her photographs profoundly shaped France’s memory of the war, particularly through her powerful images of Paris’s liberation. The program is presented in connection with the recent exhibition at Tate Modern and its presentation at the Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris, offering renewed attention to her groundbreaking legacy. Library Virtual Lecture: When A Loved One Is Dying — Conversations About Care, Connection & Coping

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a webinar — “When A Loved One Is Dying — Conversations About Care, Connection & Coping” — at 7pm on ZOOM. When you’re caring for a loved one with a serious or end-of-life disease, there are often more questions than answers. Maureen Groden, RN, MS, CHPN — hospice nurse, educator, and author of When A Love One Is Dying — will share true stories of families navigating these experiences and offer expert guidance and practical advice. Groden is passionate about teaching people about advanced directives, palliative care and hospice care, long before they need these services. Learn more and register HERE.

Pokémon Club @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a meeting of its Pokemon Club at 2pm. Want to learn how to play? Already a seasoned battler? Just a Pokémon fan in general? No matter your level or interest, there is a place for you here! The Club is for children in Kindergarten through Grade 5. No registration is required. Learn more HERE.

Coloring With Benny @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a coloring event with Benny the Reading Dog. The event is for children up to Grade 5. No registration is required. Learn more HERE.

Public Health Museum Tours

The Public Health Museum, located on the grounds of the Tewksbury Hospital (365 East Steet), is open from 10am to 2pm. A hospital campus walking tour will take place at 10:30am. Tours of the museum are also scheduled for 10:30am and 12:30pm. Register for any of the tours HERE. The Museum is a non-profit educational and cultural museum, with a mission to strive to preserve records and artifacts from America’s public health history; educate the public about the achievements and contributions of public health; and inspire people to build upon the past and continue to advance the future of public health.

Karaoke with DJ Manny @ TJ Callahan’s Pub

TJ Callahan’s Pub (1475 Main Street) hosts Karaoke with DJ Manny every Thursday night from 8pm to midnight.

8 Fitness Classes @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting 8 fitness/wellness classes today:

  • Blood Pressure Checks (9am-10:30am)
  • Belly Dancing (9:30am)
  • Wii Bowling League (9:30am)
  • Piecemakers Quilters (10am)
  • Body Works (10:25am)
  • Fit For All (11:25am)
  • Light Yoga for Seniors (12:30pm)
  • Whist (12:30pm)
  • Bone Builders (2pm)
  • Chair Yoga (3:30pm)
  • Cardio Drumming (4:30pm)

Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate.
