Tewksbury Select Board Meeting

The Tewksbury Select Board is holding a meeting at 6pm in the Main Hall at Tewksbury Town Hall (1009 Main Street). The Select Board will receive an update on the safety issue at Tewksbury Hospital, as well as review the Annual & Special Town Meeting warrant articles. Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will streamed live on the town’s YouTube channel and air live on Comcast 99 and Verizon 33.

Tewksbury Board Of Library Trustees Meeting

The Tewksbury Board of Library Trustees is holding a meeting at 7pm in the second-floor Trustees Room at Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street). Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public.

Weekly Bingo Night @ Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge

The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks holds a Bingo Night every Tuesday night at its Lodge (777 South Street). The Bingo is open to all — not just Elks members. Doors open at 4pm. Game sheet sales begin at 5:45pm. Game begins at 6:45pm. Players may bring snacks. Dinner items (often pizza) is also available to purchase. Coffee, tea and water are free of charge. Weekly Bingo Afternoon @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) holds Bingo every Tuesday afternoon. Players should arrive between 11:30am and 12:20pm, during which time game sheets are available. Bingo begins at 12:45pm. Players may bring a lunch or snacks. The event is run by volunteers with the Golden Age Club.

Veterans Coffee Social @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Veteran’s Services Department holds a free coffee at 10am in Hall B at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street). No registration is necessary.

Johnny Cash — Songs & Stories with Matt York @ Tewksbury Library

Longtime New England musician/author Matt York will perform the songs of Johnny Cash, and tell stories about Cash’s career spanning from the 1950’s to his passing in 2003, at 6:30pm in the first-floor Meeting Room at the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street). He’ll discuss Cash’s emergence as a groundbreaking artist in the 1950’s, his marriage to June Carter, and many of his other career highlights. York has twice been nominated for the Boston Music Award for Best Country Artist and he recently released his second book, The Words and Wisdom of Willie Nelson. Learn more and register HERE.

Make A Mosaic @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a “Make A Mosaic” program at 6pm for kids in Grades 4-5. Create a unique picture using small “tiles” of colorful paper! Learn register and register HERE.

Barks & Books @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Benny from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Benny. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.

Taco Tuesdays @ Oscar’s Pinatas

Oscar’s Pinatas (346 Main Street) is holding its weekly Taco Tuesday special. Customers can enjoy 99 cent tacos. Dine-in only. The restaurant also offers free karaoke every night from 9pm to 12:45am.

Arts & Crafts + Exercise Classes @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting several arts & crafts and exercise classes today:

  • Bone Building (8:15am)
  • Healthy Living Weight Loss Support (8:45am)
  • Wood Carving (9:30am)
  • Piecemakers Quilters for Charity (11am)
  • Bingo (12:45pm)
  • Independent Painting (1pm)
  • Fit For All (4:30pm)

Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. TMHS Sports: Boys & Girls Lacrosse, Boys & Girls Tennis In Action

The Tewksbury High Girls Varsity Tennis Team hosts Chelmsford at TMHS at 3:30pm. The Tewksbury High Boys Varsity Team travels to Chelmsford High at 3:30pm. The Tewksbury High Boys Varsity Lacrosse Team hosts Haverhill at Doucette Stadium at 4pm. The Tewksbury High Boys & Girls Track Teams have a meet at 4pm at Dracut High. The Tewksbury High Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team travels to Haverhill Stadium at 6:30pm.
