How To Have “The Talk” With Your Parents @ Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting “How To Have ‘The Talk’ With Your Parents” at 6:30pm in its first-floor Meeting Room. Mel Horan – with over 20 years of experience navigating the senior care and senior living landscape — will offer advice on how adult children can have “the talk” with their parents about moving into a senior community. The following areas will be covered — (1) The reason(s) for having the conversation. (2) The language to use (and not use) in the conversation. (3) The time and place of the conversation. (4) Keeping the conversation positive. (5) Overcoming misconceptions during the conversation. (6) Handling resistance in the conversation. Presented in collaboration with Bayberry at Emerald Court. 8 Fitness Classes @ Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting 8 fitness/wellness classes today:
- Forever Fit (9am)
- Tap Dance (9:45am)
- Men’s Stretch & Strengthen (10:30am)
- Light Yoga (11am)
- Yarnaholics (11:30am)
- Bone Builders (12:30pm)
- Ladies Only Billiards (1:30pm-4:30pm)
- Bone Builders (2pm)
- Gentle Yoga (3:30pm)
- Cardio Drumming (4:30pm)
Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. TMHS Sports: Baseball & Softball Teams In Action
The Tewksbury High Varsity Baseball team hosts Chelmsford at 4pm at TMHS. The JV team also plays Chelmsford at 4pm at Livingston. The Freshmen team plays Chelmsford at Chelmsford High at 4pm. The Tewksbury High Varsity and JV Softball teams both host Gloucester at 4pm at Livingston.
