Weekly Bingo Night @ Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge
The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks holds a Bingo Night every Tuesday night at its Lodge (777 South Street). The Bingo is open to all — not just Elks members. Doors open at 4pm. Game sheet sales begin at 5:45pm. Game begins at 6:45pm. Players may bring snacks. Dinner items (often pizza) is also available to purchase. Coffee, tea and water are free of charge. Weekly Bingo Afternoon @ Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) holds Bingo every Tuesday afternoon. Players should arrive between 11:30am and 12:20pm, during which time game sheets are available. Bingo begins at 12:45pm. Players may bring a lunch or snacks. The event is run by volunteers with the Golden Age Club.
Weekly Veterans Coffee Social @ Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Veteran’s Services Department holds a free coffee social every Tuesday at 10am, typically at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) in its library/media room. No registration is necessary.
Adult Board Game Night @ Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding its monthly Adult Board Game Night at 6pm its first-floor Meeting Room. Board game extraordinaire Jonah McCreary will be teaching how to play Tiny Towns. Additionally, several tables will be available for “open play” if you’d like to bring your own games or borrow one of the library’s games to play. Complimentary pizza will be provided. The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a webinar — “Tour of the National Mall” — at 2pm via ZOOM. Join DC Design Tours for a virtual tour highlighting the history, design and architecture of the National Mall in Washington, DC. The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a webinar — “How Ghosts Gave American Women Their Voice” at7pm on ZOOM. Author Ilise Carter will discuss her new book, When We Spoke to the Dead: How Ghosts Gave American Women Their Voice. The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a Mug Decorating Class for teens at 3:30pm in the Meeting Room. Enjoy frosting and decorating, then take them home to share! This event is open for teens in Grades 6 to 12. Register HERE.
Barks & Books @ Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Benny from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Benny. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.
Taco Tuesdays @ Oscar’s Pinatas
Oscar’s Pinatas (346 Main Street) is holding its weekly Taco Tuesday special. Customers can enjoy 99 cent tacos. Dine-in only. The restaurant also offers free karaoke every night from 9pm to 12:45am.
Arts & Crafts + Exercise Classes @ Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting several arts & crafts and exercise classes today:
- Bone Building (8:15am)
- Healthy Living Weight Loss Support (8:45am)
- Wood Carving (9:30am)
- Piecemakers Quilters for Charity (11am)
- Bingo (12:45pm)
- Independent Painting (1pm)
- Fit For All (4:30pm)
Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. TMHS Sports: Boys Lacrosse In Action
The Tewksbury High Boys Varsity Lacrosse hosts Wilmington at Doucette Stadium at 4pm. The JV team will play afterwards at 5:30pm.
