Tewksbury Finance Committee Meeting
The Tewksbury Finance Committee meets at 7pm in the first-floor meeting room at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Read the meeting agenda HERE. The Committee will be reviewing articles for the upcoming Town Meeting. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will be televised live on Tewksbury Telemedia (Comcast 8 & Verizon 32) and streamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.
Music Bingo @ Wamesit Lanes
Wamesit Lanes (434 Main Street) is hosting live Music Bingo at 7pm inside the Firewater Tavern. Enjoy live music, big energy and awesome prizes, with hosts Glitter & Guitars. Learn more HERE.
Tewksbury High School’s Indoor Walking Track Open
The Tewksbury Memorial High School’s indoor walking track is open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, from 4pm to 7pm, in March.
Friends Of The Library’s Fundraiser @ Vic’s Waffle House
The Friends of the Tewksbury Library is hosting its annual “Breakfast For Dinner” fundraiser at Vic’s Waffle House (283 Old Main Street) from 4pm to 7pm. Proceeds from your meal will be donated to the Friends of the Library in support of library events for all ages. Stop by Vic’s to dine-in or purchase takeout. The Friends will also have a 50/50 raffle fundraiser inside.
Adult Craft Night @ Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its monthly Adult Craft Night at 6:30pm in its Meeting Room. This month’s featured craft is a Baby Doll. All supplies provided. Led by longtime crafter Rachelle Toth, host of the local access TV show “Crafts ‘n’ Stuff.” Registration is FULL, but there is still space on the Waiting List HERE.
Library Virtual Lecture: Bestselling Author Emily Franklin In Conversation With Bestselling Author Marjan Kamali
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a webinar with two bestselling authors at 7pm via ZOOM. Library Virtual Lecture: The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a webinar — “The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising” — at 7pm via ZOOM. The Warsaw Ghetto Uprising is one of the most storied events of the Holocaust. Discover the five young, courageous Polish Jewish women — known as “the girls” by the leadership of the resistance and “bandits” by their Nazi oppressors — who were central to the Jewish resistance as fighters, commanders, couriers, and smugglers. Led by Holocaust historian Elizabeth Hyman, author of The Girl Bandits of the Warsaw Ghetto: The True Story of Five Courageous Young Women Who Sparked an Uprising. Learn more & register HERE.
DJ Dance & Lunch @ Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting a DJ Dance and Traveling Chef Lunch at 11:30am. Tickets cost $8, which includes lunch and dancing. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the Senior Center’s Reception Desk. Tickets may be purchased at the door, but could possibly not include lunch. Lunch is served from 11:30am to noon. Dancing takes place from noon to 2pm. The lunch menu includes: Corn Chowder served in a bread bowl with a Garden Salad and a Chocolate Pudding Parfait for dessert, with water, coffee and tea for beverages.
8 Fitness Classes @ Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting 8 fitness/wellness classes today:
- Forever Fit (9am)
- Tap Dance (9:45am)
- Men’s Stretch & Strengthen (10:30am)
- Light Yoga (11am)
- Yarnaholics (11:30am)
- Bone Builders (12:30pm)
- Ladies Only Billiards (1:30pm-4:30pm)
- Bone Builders (2pm)
- Gentle Yoga (3:30pm)
- Cardio Drumming (4:30pm)
Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. TMHS Sports: Girls Lacrosse In Action
The Tewksbury High Girls Varsity Lacrosse battle Winchester at Winchester High at 4pm. The JV team will play afterwards at 5:30pm.
