Red Cross Blood Drive @ Masonic Hall

The Red Cross is holding a Blood Drive at the Masonic Hall (70 Victor Drive) from noon to 5pm. Interested donors can call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) to book an appointment. Donors can also visit http://www.redcross.org to schedule an appointment.

Shawsheen Tech PAC Music Bingo Fundraiser

The Shawsheen Tech PAC presents Music Bingo at 7pm at the Tewksbury/Wilmington Elks Lodge (777 South Street). This 21+ event costs $25 per person. Admission includes 2 game cards per round. Additional game cards can be purchased for $5. The event includes a cash bar, raffle table, and 50/50 raffle. Tickets can be purchased online HERE.

Afternoon Film Screening (“Hamnet”) @ Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a film screening of “Hamnet” at 2pm. After losing their son Hamnet to plague, Agnes and William Shakespeare grapple with grief in 16th-century England. A healer, Agnes must find strength to care for her surviving children while processing her devastating loss. Starring Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal. Rated PG-13. 2 Hours, 5 Minutes. Doors will open at 1:30pm. Film will start at 2pm. Candy & water will be served. A $1 donation is suggested to help cover the costs of refreshments. Weekly Bingo Night @ St. Williams Church

St. Williams Church (1351 Main Street) holds a Bingo Night every Friday, beginning at 6:45pm. Players can expect to spend $15-$20 on Bingo sheets. Call 978-640-0859 with any questions or for more information.

File & Smile @ Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is partnering with Greater Lawrence Technical School for a “File & Smile” event from 9am to 11am. Seniors will receive discounted manicures! This is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a little pampering while supporting students as they fine-tune their skills in a professional setting. Manicure with gel polish is $15 and a basic manicure is $8. Treat yourself and support the next generation of professionals. 4 Fitness Classes at Tewksbury Senior Center + Scrabble

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting 4 fitness/wellness classes today:

  • Bone Builders (8:15am)
  • Walking Club (8:30am)
  • Bone Builders (9:30am)
  • Scrabble (10am)
  • Meditation (11am)

Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. TJ Callahan’s Pub (1475 Main Street) is offering live music with the Billerica-based rock ‘n roll cover band BAD MAX at 9pm.

Firewater Tavern at Wamesit Lanes (434 Main Street) is offering live music from 6pm to 9pm.

Karaoke Night @ Wamesit Lanes

Firewater Tavern at Wamesit Lanes (434 Main Street) is offering karaoke on the last Friday night of each month, from 9pm to 11pm. Sing your heart out and have a blast at karaoke hosted by DJ Mike. A $50 gift card is given to the performer of the night, who is also entered into the “Sing-Off” in September.

TMHS Sports: Boys Lacrosse In Action

The Tewksbury High Boys Varsity Lacrosse battle North Reading at North Reading High at 4:30pm. The JV team will play afterwards at 6pm.
