September is in full swing — don’t miss out on the exciting events and activities still happening around town!

There’s still plenty to enjoy this month! From live music and outdoor markets to family-friendly fun, the town is buzzing with energy. Whether you’re looking for a fun night out or a relaxing weekend activity, there’s something for everyone to discover this September.

TPL Friends Dine-Out

Friends’ latest dine out fundraiser, eat-in or take-out at Brothers Sports Bar & Grille, 553 Main St., Tewksbury.  All day, Monday, September 15th, from 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM. 20% of food bills will be donated to the Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library who support library programming.  Please mention the Friends when placing your order.  

Ipswich River Community Chorus Hosts Open Rehearsals

Ipswich River Community Chorus is an 89-member chorus based in North Reading, MA. Our members hail from 29 towns across the North Shore and Merrimack Valley. We’re kicking off our fall season with open rehearsal for interested singers. This program is funded, in part, by grants from the North Reading, Reading, Tewksbury and Wilmington Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Mass Cultural Council.

When:  September 15th from 7:30-9:30 p.m.

Where: Aldersgate United Methodist Church; 235 Park Street, North Reading, MA

Meet the chorus, check out the repertoire for our Christmas performance and rehearse with us. We are a non-audition chorus welcoming adults and teens (14+) of all abilities. We are especially looking for tenors and basses!

Tewksbury Community Market

Thursday, September 18th and 25th at Livingston Park.

The Tewksbury Community Market takes place on Thursdays, from 4pm to 7pm, from June 5th to September 25th, in the parking lot behind the Tewksbury Recreation Center at Livingston St. Park (288 Livingston Street).

The Silvertones ~ Live Swing Band

September concert at the Tewksbury Senior Center! The Silvertones will be bringing their big band dance music back for another season starting Friday, September 19th, at 7:00 PM!!! Put the date on your calendar and dust off the dancing shoes!!

Open Space Committee: Take A Hike At Rogers Park

Saturday, September 20th from 10:00 AM — 11:15 AM

The Tewksbury Open Space & Recreation Committee and the Tewksbury Public Library invite you to take a guided hike at Rogers Park. The hike will be led by Open Space & Recreation Committee member Tom Branchaud.

This easy hike is 1.6 miles long and will last approximately 75 minutes. Please park in the Rogers Park parking lot and, when full, along Kennedy Road. Do not block driveways. This hike is limited to 30 cars.

Registration is required. Registrants will receive additional information via email 48 hours prior to the hike. Please wear sensible footwear, and bring bug spray and water.

The Hottest Yard Sale in Town

Indoor Yard Sale Treasures, Crafters, and Vendors! Saturday, September 20th, from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM at the Tewksbury Senior Center.

TPL Friends Book Drive

The Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library is holding a Book Donation Drive on Saturday, September 20th, from 9:30am to 12:30pm at the Library (300 Chandler Street). Drop off your books and DVDs — in good condition — at the Friends’ tables in the library’s lobby. All donations will be reviewed by a volunteer. Accepted items will then be sorted and sold on the Friends’ ongoing book sale carts.

Community Health Fair

Free health screenings and demos, lightning talks, chat with local health orgs and associations, Public Health Museum open house! Saturday September 27th, from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
