Tewksbury 9/11 Memorial Ceremony

Join the town in remembrance of the lives lost during 9/11.

On Thursday, September 11th at 7 PM, the Tewksbury community is invited to gather at the Tewksbury 9/11 Memorial to honor the nearly 3,000 lives lost 24 years ago. The ceremony will include a solemn procession and the reading of the names of the 93 Massachusetts residents who died on 9/11, delivered by members of the Tewksbury Police and Fire Departments. Special guest speaker Larissa Gay, daughter of Peter Gay—a passenger on American Airlines Flight 11—will also speak.

Dedicated in 2005, the memorial honors Tewksbury’s two residents lost in the attacks—Peter Gay and Peter Hashem—as well as all who perished that day.
