Hello Tewksbury,
My name is Jonah McCreary and I’m introducing myself as a candidate for the Library Board of Trustees. I’ve called Tewksbury home for almost 8 years now and am looking to give back to this community by helping to support our wonderful library. As an advocate for the power of libraries in our community, I am excited for the chance to contribute to the future of our local library and ensure it continues to serve as a welcoming, educational, and vital resource for everyone.
Libraries have the potential to create such a positive impact on individuals and families and our Tewksbury library has certainly done that for mine since we moved here. From welcoming new residents to providing a safe space and activities for the residents of our town, it is a true cornerstone of the community. I’ve been volunteering at the library for over a year now running the monthly adult board game program and it’s been such a joy connecting with fellow residents over a shared passion. Running for this position feels like a great way for me to expand my contributions to the library. My goal as a potential member of the Board is to build upon its strengths and help it to expand access and enhance the library’s offerings to continue to meet the needs of our town whatever they may be.
