My name is Rich Russo Jr., and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Tewksbury Select Board. I’m running because I believe in strong leadership, responsible growth, and ensuring our town is a place where both families and businesses can thrive.
Tewksbury has always been home for me. Having lived here nearly my entire life, my wife and I chose to raise our 3 children in this community because we love it. My experience serving three years on the Tewksbury School Committee and my time on the Finance Committee has given me valuable insight into how our town operates, both in budgeting and financial planning as well as advocating for residents and making informed policy decisions. My background in financial management, business leadership, and community service makes me uniquely qualified to serve. I know how to analyze budgets, drive smart investments and make sound and tough decisions that protect both our residents and our town’s future.
As your Select Board member, I will prioritize the following:
- Fiscally responsible leadership—making sure our tax dollars are used effectively and wisely
especially with tough financial times on the horizon. - Smart commercial growth—supporting and being a business partner to local businesses while
keeping the tax burden off residents. - Transparent, open communication—ensuring residents have a real voice in decisions that
impact our town. - Investing in infrastructure and services—strategically planning for improvements without
overburdening taxpayers.
Tewksbury deserves a Select Board member who listens, leads, and puts the town’s best interests first, not just today, but for the long term. My experience on both the School Committee and Finance Committee has prepared me to tackle the complex issues our town faces with practical solutions and strong leadership.
