Start the New Year off right by supporting the community’s local drives and events!
The new year has arrived, but the spirit of giving continues. Show your support for local drives and small businesses by participating in the town events happening this January! Check out the details below.
…
Toiletries Drive
The Tewksbury Democratic Town Committee is hosting a Toiletries Drive to benefit the Glenice Sheehan Recovery Home For Women until January 30th. You can drop off items at the Tewksbury Public Library or scan the QR code to contribute!

Tewksbury Community Market
The Tewksbury Community Market will host two remaining winter markets, on the second Thursdays of January (Jan. 9) and February (Feb. 13), from 4 PM to 7 PM. These events will take place inside the spacious hall at the Tewksbury Senior Center, located at 175 Chandler Street.
Each monthly market features 30 vendors selling food and other products. Each month’s vendors will be listed on the Market’s website at www.tewksburymarket.com. For regular updates, the Tewksbury Community Market’s Facebook (@TewksburyMarket), Twitter/X (@TewksburyMarket), and Instagram (@TewksburyCommunityMarket) accounts.
Vendors to be featured at the market on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 4pm to 7pm, include many of your favorites from the summer markets:

Tewksbury Book Drive
The Friends of the TPL will be hosting a Book Drive on January 18th. Books will be checked for saleable condition to be sold on the Friends’ Honor Cart with all profits benefiting library programming.

Tewksbury Garden Club
When you’re around town, take a few moments to admire the seasonal decorations provided by the Garden Club, before they’re gone! Every season, the club changes the decorations in the containers located at the Town Hall, the Annex, the Library and now at the Senior Center. Club members also decorate the plantings at the Town Center electronic sign. And if you were at the Tree Lighting, you will have noticed the Town Hall stairs beautifully decked out for the holidays with containers filled with greens and seasonal décor, along with pine roping and brightly colored ornaments.
The club provides the wreaths on the Common and works with the town’s Facilities department and DPW to get them hung. And if you happen to admire a live wreath at the Police and Fire departments, the garden club decorates and donates those, too. Check them out and support the work of the Garden Club by making a donation, or better yet, by joining them! tewksburygardenclub.com
