Tewksbury Winter Community Market at Senior Center
The Tewksbury Winter Community Market is holding its December market from 4pm to 7pm at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street). Tewksbury Open Space & Recreation Plan Committee Meeting
The Tewksbury Open Space & Recreation Plan Committee meets at 6pm in the main hall at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public.
Red Cross Blood Drive at Tewksbury Masonic Hall
The American Red Cross is holding a Community Blood Drive from 1:30pm to 7pm at the Masonic Hall (70 Victor Drive). Schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering ‘Tewksbury.”
TMHS DECA Holiday Gift Wrapping Fundraiser

Free Meditation Class at Tewksbury Public Library
Chris Connolly, RN, BSN, owner of Living My Dream Yoga, is lead a 3-week series of meditation classes this month on Thursdays, from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, at the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street). Classes are designed for both those who are new to meditation and regular practitioners. Attendees should bring their own yoga mat, beach towel, blanket or cushion to sit/lay on. Non-Fiction Book Club Meeting at Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding the monthly meeting of its Non-Fiction Book Group at 10:30am in the first-floor Meeting Room. Library Virtual Lecture: A Visit with Newhouse Wildlife Rescue
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding an armchair travel webinar — “A Visit with Newhouse Wildlife Rescue” — at 7pm on ZOOM. Jane Newhouse, founder of Newhouse Wildlife Rescue, a licensed wildlife sanctuary in Chelmsford, will show us some of the behind the scenes work involved in rehabilitating wild animals in her popular presentation, “Porcupines Don’t Shoot Their Quills.” Newhouse will share interesting facts about local wildlife, and offer advice on what you should do if you ever encounter injured or abandoned wildlife. Library Virtual Lecture: Marc Chagall — Joy, Color & A Celebration Of Jewish Culture
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding an art history webinar — “Marc Chagall: Joy, Color & A Celebration Of Jewish Culture” — at 10:30am on ZOOM. Marc Chagall’s colorful, abstract paintings integrate a variety of elements from the modernist movements of the early twentieth century. His work is singular among his peers for its incorporation of Jewish themes, reflecting the artist’s cultural roots. This program provides an introduction to Chagall’s personal and professional resilience, his work, and his favorite subjects. Preschool Playgroup at Tewksbury Public Library
Community Teamwork hosts a Preschool Playgroup every Thursday morning at 11am at the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street). Kids can meet, play, and learn, while picking up some literacy skills. Free and open to all preschoolers.
8 Fitness Classes at Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting 8 fitness/wellness classes today:
- Belly Dancing (9:30am)
- Wii Bowling League (9:30am)
- Body Works (10:25am)
- Fit For All (11:15am)
- Light Yoga for Seniors (12:30pm)
- Bone Builders (2pm)
- Chair Yoga (3:30pm)
- Cardio Drumming (4:30pm)
Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. Call the Senior Center at 978-640-4480 with any questions.

Public Health Museum Tours
The Public Health Museum, located on the grounds of the Tewksbury Hospital (365 East Steet), is open from 10am to 2pm. A hospital campus walking tour will take place at 10:30am. Tours of the museum are also scheduled for 10:30am and 12:30pm. Register for any of the tours HERE. The Museum is a non-profit educational and cultural museum, with a mission to strive to preserve records and artifacts from America’s public health history; educate the public about the achievements and contributions of public health; and inspire people to build upon the past and continue to advance the future of public health.
