Tewksbury Select Board Meeting

The Tewksbury Select Board meets at 6pm at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Read the meeting agenda HERE. The Select Board will receive presentations on the two proposals for the Trahan School reuse; will consider a retail marijuana license for Route 133 Cannabis (1625 Andover); will discuss a water abatement policy; and will consider renewals for liquor licenses, entertainment licenses, common victualler licenses, class auto licenses, and amusement licenses. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will also be televised on Comcast (Ch. 99) and Verizon (Ch. 33) and streamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.

Weekly Bingo Night at Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge

The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks holds a Bingo Night every Tuesday night at its Lodge (777 South Street). The Bingo is open to all — not just Elks members. Doors open at 4pm. Game sheet sales begin at 5:45pm. Game begins at 6:45pm. Players may bring snacks. Dinner items (often pizza) is also available to purchase. Coffee, tea and water are free of charge. Weekly Bingo Afternoon at Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) holds Bingo every Tuesday afternoon. Players should arrive between 11:30am and 12:20pm, during which time game sheets are available. Bingo begins at 12:45pm. Players may bring a lunch or snacks. The event is run by volunteers with the Golden Age Club.

Weekly Veterans Coffee Social At Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Veteran’s Services Department holds a free coffee social every Tuesday at 10am, typically at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) in its library/media room. No registration is necessary.

Teen Faux Geode Coasters at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a Faux Geode Coasters Craft for Teens (Grades 6-12) at 3:30pm in its first-floor Meeting Room. Teen are invited to a fun craft of creating a “faux” aka “fake” geode using unfinished ceramic coasters and some creative tools and paint techniques. Learn more & register HERE.

Adult Felting Night at Tewksbury Public Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a Felting Night at 7pm its first-floor Meeting Room. Create an adorable baby Emperor penguin using soft wool roving and a barbed needle in this fun and cozy needle felting class. Learn essential needle felting techniques while completing this beginner-friendly project. Led by an instructor from the Pop Up Art School. All supplies will be provided. Library Virtual Lecture: Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women In America

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a special webinar — “Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women In America” at 7pm via ZOOM. Explore the disturbing trend of missing and murdered indigenous women in the United States. Led by Vanessa Lillie, the author of the bestselling suspense novel Blood Sisters, a compelling mystery about a Cherokee archeologist for the Bureau of Indian Affairs who is summoned to rural Oklahoma to investigate the disappearance of two women…one of them her sister. The book was a Target Book Club pick and Good Morning America Book Club Buzz Pick, as well as named one of the best mystery novel in 2023 by the Washington Post and Amazon. Library Virtual Lecture: Armchair Travel To Australia

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding an Armchair Travel To Australia webinar at 2pm via ZOOM. Travel to Melbourne and Tasmania, Australia. Led by Jack Holmes, a travel photographer and owner of “Images From Near and Far” at Western Avenue Studios in Lowell. A retired high school teacher, he previously served as President of the Greater Lynn Photographic Association and Gallery Manager of the Loading Dock Gallery in Lowell. Library Virtual Lecture: Living with Wild Turkeys in Massachusetts

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a special webinar — “Living with Wild Turkeys in Massachusetts with MassWildlife” at 10:30am on ZOOM. Wild turkeys, the official game bird of Massachusetts, thrive in a variety of habitats across the Commonwealth, including in urban and suburban areas. Learn about wild turkey biology and behavior, as well as how residents can coexist with these beautiful birds. Kids Lego Club at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding meeting of its Lego Club for Grades 4-5 at 6pm in the library’s Craft Room. Get creative with different Lego challenges to see what you can create with what you are given. At the end, make your own creation to be displayed in the library during the month of December! Barks & Books at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Benny from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Benny. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.

Taco Tuesdays at Oscar’s Pinatas

Oscar’s Pinatas (346 Main Street) is holding its weekly Taco Tuesday special. Customers can enjoy 99 cent tacos. Dine-in only. The restaurant also offers free karaoke every night from 9pm to 12:45am.
