Tewksbury Garden Club’s Floral Fantasy Tour

Join the Tewksbury Garden Club on a magical journey through a whimsical world of flowers and enchantment on the Floral Fantasy Tour at 7pm at the Hilton Garden Inn (4 Highwood Drive). Doors open at 6pm. Tickets are available at the door for $35. Lisa Oberholzer-Gee, a Cambridge-based freelance floral artist who specializes in floral techniques from Europe and Asia, will be demonstrating arrangements for the holiday season.

School Committee Meeting

The Tewksbury School Committee meets at 6:30pm in the Large Instruction Room at Tewksbury Memorial High School (320 Pleasant Street). Read the agenda HERE. Among many other agenda items, the Committee will receive a presentation from the Assistant Superintendent regarding the 2024 MCAS results. The Committee will also be given an update on the High School Walking Track. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will also be televised on Comcast (Ch. 22) and Verizon (Ch. 34) and streamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.

Economic Development Committee Meeting

The Tewksbury Economic Development Committee meets at 6:30pm in the First Floor Meeting Room at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Read the agenda HERE. The Committee appears to be meeting with representatives from the Wilmington-Tewksbury Chamber of Commerce and the Greater Lowell Chamber of Commerce. The meeting is open to the public.

Red Cross Blood Drive at Tewksbury Masonic Hall

The American Red Cross is holding a Community Blood Drive from 8:30am to 2pm at the Masonic Hall (70 Victor Drive). Schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS or visiting RedCrossBlood.org and entering ‘Tewksbury.”

Teen Advisory Board at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a meeting of its Teen Advisory Board at 6pm. Want to make a difference? Have ideas about how to improve the library for teens? Interested in running an event? Join the Teen Advisory Board, open to all teens in grades 6-12. Each meeting will discuss ideas for teens at TPL. Library Virtual Lecture: Chat GPT for Genealogists

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a virtual lecture — “Chat GPT for Genealogists” — at 7pm via ZOOM. Learn how to use an artificial intelligence (AI) tool — ChatGPT — while conducting genealogical research. Examples will be provided where ChatGPT can assist with queries about genealogical facts, historical background, image interpretation, content generation, and information extractions from PDF documents. Led by Robert Cameron Weir, a professional genealogist who specializes in early New England research. Learn more & register HERE

Barks & Books at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Misty from 4pm to 5pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Misty. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.

Karaoke Night at Kyoto

Kyoto Japanese Steak House (1487 Main Street) now holds Karaoke every Wednesday night from 8pm to 11pm, hosted by Joey T of Mr. Melody Productions.

Friends of the Tewksbury Library Fundraiser at Kyoto

The Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library is holding a fundraiser at Kyoto Japanese Steak House (1487 Main Street) from 11:30am to 9:30pm. Proceeds from dine in and take out sales will be donated to the Friends of the Library to benefit the library’s programming. Customers must mention the Friends of the Library when placing their order.

TMHS Best Buddies Fundraiser at Wicked Cheesy

The Tewksbury High School’s Best Buddies Chapter is holding a fundraiser at Wicked Cheesy (1079 Main Street) on Monday, November 11; Tuesday, November 12; and Wednesday, November 13, from 10am to 9pm. 20% of the proceeds will benefit the TMHS Theater Company if you mention “Best Buddies” when ordering.

Trivia Night at Wamesit Lanes
