Tewksbury Select Board Meeting
The Tewksbury Select Board meets at 6pm at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). The Select Board will be holding its annual Tax Classification Hearing, as well as considering a retail marijuana license for Route 133 Cannabis (1625 Andover Street). The Select Board will also discuss (1) communication with the Governor over State Hospital security issues; (2) the reuse of the Trahan School site; (3) a host Community Agreement with the Pure Tewksbury retail marijuana store (1695 Shawsheen St.); (4) DPW snow and ice operations; and (5) the town’s Water Abatement Policy. Public Health Museum Virtual Annual Meeting & Lecture
The Tewksbury-based Public Health Museum is holding its Annual Meeting, from 6:30pm to 8:15pm, on ZOOM. Retired applied public health epidemiologist Paul Etkind will discuss pseudoscience, disinformation and misinformation in public health, with a focus on “The Tobacco Strategy.” Register HERE.

Weekly Bingo Night at Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge
The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks holds a Bingo Night every Tuesday night at its Lodge (777 South Street). The Bingo is open to all — not just Elks members. Doors open at 4pm. Game sheet sales begin at 5:45pm. Game begins at 6:45pm. Players may bring snacks. Dinner items (often pizza) is also available to purchase. Coffee, tea and water are free of charge. Weekly Bingo Afternoon at Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) holds Bingo every Tuesday afternoon. Players should arrive between 11:30am and 12:20pm, during which time game sheets are available. Bingo begins at 12:45pm. Players may bring a lunch or snacks. The event is run by volunteers with the Golden Age Club.
Weekly Veterans Coffee Social At Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Veteran’s Services Department holds a free coffee social every Tuesday at 10am, typically at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) in its library/media room. No registration is necessary.
ALSO HAPPENING: The Senior Center’s Caregivers Peer Support Group holds its monthly meeting at 10am.
Dewing School Welcome Night at Tewksbury Library
Students of the Dewing School and their families are invited to the Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) from 5:30pm to 7:30pm to explore everything that TPL has to offer! Come take a tour, meet the Youth Services staff, explore the space with a scavenger hunt and more. It’s a great time to get a library card for the first time (or replace a lost card for free!). Teen Paint Night at Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a Paint Night for Teens (Grades 6-12) at 3:30pm. Enjoy being playful with paint and getting a little messy along the way! Library Virtual Lecture: Armchair Travel To The Galapagos Islands
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding an armchair travel webinar at 10:30am via ZOOM. Travel to the Galapagos Islands made famous by Charles Darwin and his theories of evolution in his book, The Origin of Species, aboard the ship, HMS Beagle. Examine the unique wildlife and gorgeous vistas of this his isolated group of islands, located 600 miles west of Ecuador’s Pacific coast, which is home to large tortoises, iguana lizards, sea lions, and a menagerie of exceptional birds from blue-footed boobies to red pouched frigate birds. The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a gardening webinar at 7pm via ZOOM. Explore innovative alternatives to traditional grassy lawns for a more sustainable and visually appealing landscaping experience. Learn about lawn reduction techniques, delve into the fascinating world of soil science, and get inspired to move beyond the conventional grass-covered yard. Barks & Books at Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Benny from 4:30pm to 5:30pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Benny. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.
Taco Tuesdays at Oscar’s Pinatas
Oscar’s Pinatas (346 Main Street) is holding its weekly Taco Tuesday special. Customers can enjoy 99 cent tacos. Dine-in only. The restaurant also offers free karaoke every night from 9pm to 12:45am.
