Book Donation Drive at Tewksbury Library

The Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library is holding a Book Donation Drive inside the lobby of the Library (300 Chandler Street) from 9:30am to 12:30pm. Books will be checked for saleable condition. Textbooks, encyclopedias, and dictionaries are not accepted. All accepted books will be sold on the Friends of the Library’s Honor Carts at the Library. Proceeds benefit the library’s programming for adults, teens and children. 

Tewksbury Author Kara Zajac To Discuss “The Significance of Curly Hair” at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting Tewksbury native Kara Zajac for a discussion of her new award-winning book, The Significance of Curly Hair: A Loving Memoir of Life and Loss. The book tells the poignant story about the bond between Kara and her grandmother. This heartwarming and enlightening memoir reminds us to cherish our time with loved ones. Zajac lives in Georgia, but grew up in Tewksbury and graduated from TMHS in 1991. Learn more about the book and event HERE.

Public Health Museum Tours

The Public Health Museum, located on the grounds of the Tewksbury Hospital (365 East Steet), is open from 10am to 2pm. A hospital campus walking tour will take place at 10:30am. Tours of the museum are also scheduled for 11:30am. Register for any of the tours HERE. The Museum is a non-profit educational and cultural museum, with a mission to strive to preserve records and artifacts from America’s public health history; educate the public about the achievements and contributions of public health; and inspire people to build upon the past and continue to advance the future of public health.

Live Music @ TJ Callahan’s Pub

TJ Callahan’s Pub (1475 Main Street) is offering live music from SideWayz La beginning at 9pm. The band is known for its high energy rock ‘n roll.
