Early Voting at Tewksbury Town Hall

Early in-person voting for the Presidential Election continues today from 7:30am to 4:30pm in the Auditorium at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). HERE is what the Town Clerk’s Office wants you to know before you go to vote.

DJ Dance & Lunch at Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is holding its monthly DJ Dance & Lunch this afternoon. Lunch — provided by AgeSpan’s Traveling Chef — will include Chicken Saltimbocca, Creamy Risotto, Broccoli, Garden Salad, Garlic Roll, Tiramisu, Water, and Coffee/Tea.

Doors open at 11:30am. Lunch is served between 11:30am and noon. Dancing begins at noon and end at 2pm. Tickets cost $8, which includes lunch and dancing. Tickets may be purchased at the door, but may not necessarily include lunch. Early sign up is recommended as dances tend to sell out.

Adult Craft Night at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library is holding its monthly Adult Craft Night at 7pm. This month’s featured craft is a painted jack-o’-lantern. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library through a generous donation from 100 People Who Care Tewksbury. While registration is full, there is still room on the Waiting List HERE.

Tewksbury Job Seekers Networking Group Virtual Meeting

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting the weekly meeting of its Tewksbury Job Seekers Networking Group at 2pm via ZOOM. This week’s meeting will focus on how to avoid searh scams. This week’s guest speaker is Mark Anthony Dyson, a freelance career advice writer, thinker, podcaster, and advocate for job seekers, who writes “The Job Scam Report” on Substack. Library Virtual Lecture: Haunted Lighthouses of New England

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a “Haunted Lighthouses of New England” webinar at 7pm via ZOOM. Led by Jeremy D’Entremont, president and historian of the American Lighthouse Foundation, historian for the U.S. Lighthouse Society, and the author of more than 20 books and hundreds of articles on lighthouses and maritime history. Spanish Fun Story Time at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting a Story Time in English and Spanish at 10:30am. There will be bilingual storytelling — based on history, myths, tales, and legends — narrated by Eshter Gomez, a native Spanish speaker who will wear a traditional dress, followed by singing and dancing. Barks & Books at Tewksbury Library

The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is hosting its weekly Barks & Books with service dog Diamond from 4pm to 5pm in the Activities Room. Children (especially those struggling with reading) are invited to sign up for a one-on-one, 15-minute session to read to Diamond. Bring your own book or borrow one from the library. This is a great way for children to build literacy confidence and fluency with a non-judgmental canine reading partner. Register HERE.

Fitness Classes at Tewksbury Senior Center

The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) is hosting 8 fitness/wellness classes today:

  • Forever Fit (9am)
  • Tap Dance (9:45am)
  • Men’s Stretch & Strengthen (10:30am)
  • Light Yoga (11am)
  • Bone Builders #2 (12:30pm)
  • Bone Builders #1 (2pm)
  • Gentle Yoga (3:30pm)
  • Cardio Drumming (4:30pm)

Most fitness/wellness class fees are paid either by the month OR by purchasing a punch card. Punch card cost is $35 and allows seniors to attend 10 classes of their choice. Cards can be purchased in the Senior Center’s Office. Seniors may drop in to try any of the fitness/wellness classes for FREE. Please note Bone Builders classes and the Cardio Drumming class are grant-funded with no cost to participants but do require registration to participate. Call the Senior Center at 978-640-4480 with any questions.

ALSO AT THE SENIOR CENTER: The Senior Center’s Parkinson’s Support Group holds its monthly meeting today at 10am.

Tewksbury Board of Assessors Meeting

The Tewksbury Board of Assessors meets at 3pm in the Town Hall Annex Conference Room. Read the meeting agenda HERE. Much of the meeting will take place in Executive Session (closed to the public) as the Boar reviews FY25 real estate exemption applications, FY26 chapter land applications, and pending appellate tax board cases.
