Tewksbury Select Board Meeting
The Tewksbury Select Board meets at 6pm at Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Read the meeting agenda HERE. The Select Board will be hearing about a 40B proposal at the old VFW site (87 Vernon Street), as well as two proposals to redevelop the former Trahan School site from CHOICE, Inc. & Icon, and MCO and Associates, Inc., respectively. The meeting is open to the public. The meeting will also be televised on Comcast (Ch. 99) and Verizon (Ch. 33) and streamed on the Town’s YouTube channel.
Tewksbury Council on Aging Meeting
The Tewksbury Council on Aging meets at 3pm in the Conference Room of the Senior Center (175 Chandler Street). Read the agenda HERE. The meeting is open to the public.
Free Yoga Class with Namastay Sober
The Tewksbury Health Department, in partnership with NamaStay Sober, presents a special yoga event tailored for the sober community and those in recovery, at 6:30pm at the Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Bring a yoga mat and a water bottle. (Extra mats will be available to those who need one.) This event offers a supportive space for individuals to engage in yoga, whether you’re a seasoned practitioner or new to the mat. Weekly Bingo Night @ Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks Lodge
The Tewksbury-Wilmington Elks holds a Bingo Night every Tuesday night at its Lodge (777 South Street). The Bingo is open to all — not just Elks members. Doors open at 4pm. Game sheet sales begin at 5:45pm. Game begins at 6:45pm. Players may bring snacks. Dinner items (often pizza) is also available to purchase. Coffee, tea and water are free of charge. Weekly Bingo Afternoon @ Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) holds Bingo every Tuesday afternoon. Players should arrive between 11:30am and 12:20pm, during which time game sheets are available. Bingo begins at 12:45pm. Players may bring a lunch or snacks. The event is run by volunteers with the Golden Age Club.
Cribbage League At Wamesit Lanes
Wamesit Lanes (434 Main Street) hosts a Cribbage League every Tuesday at 7pm. $12 entry fee. Pizza and salad are served. First place receives $500. Highest score of the night receives $10 food & beverage cards. Additional prizes are often awarded. This is a fun and fair league with “no muggings.” Learn more and register HERE.
Adult Board Game Night At Tewksbury Library
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding its monthly Adult Board Game Night from 6pm to 8:30pm. Game Night leader Jonah McCreary will be teaching how to play Bunny Games and Fantasy Realms. Additionally, several tables will be available for “open play” if you’d like to bring your own games or borrow one of the library’s games to play. Light refreshments will be provided. Travel Photography Tips with The Traveling Librarian
The Tewksbury Public Library (300 Chandler Street) is holding a virtual presentation, “Travel Photography Tips with The Traveling Librarian” at 2pm via ZOOM. Jeff “The Traveling Librarian” Klapes will present some of his favorite photos from all over the world, and talk about how to plan and improve your travel photography, focusing on landscapes, people, architecture, color and detail, and his personal favorite – black and white photography. The Library is also co-hosting bestselling author Marjan Kamali for a discussion her new book, The Lion Women of Tehran, at 7pm via ZOOM (register HERE), as well as a presentation about famous American composer Cole Porter by pianist Clint Edwards at 7pm via ZOOM (register HERE).
Weekly Veterans Coffee Social At Tewksbury Senior Center
The Tewksbury Veteran’s Services Department holds a free coffee social every Tuesday at 10am, typically at the Tewksbury Senior Center (175 Chandler Street) in its library/media room. No registration is necessary.
TMHS Field Hockey Fundraiser at Wicked Cheesy
The Tewksbury Field Hockey Boosters is holding a fundraiser at Wicked Cheesy (1079 Main Street) today and tomorrow. 20% of the proceeds will benefit the TMHS field hockey program if you mention or show the flyer below.
