Tewksbury Model Airplane Club Open House/Picnic Celebration
The 495th R/C Squadron, a radio controlled model airplane flying club based in Tewksbury, will host their Annual Picnic from 10am to 4pm at the John A. Ogonowski Memorial Flying Field (200 Pinnacle Street). The Picnic is intended to introduce the residents of Tewksbury and surrounding towns to the fun and exciting world of model airplanes and helicopters. Flying demonstrations — including airplanes, helicopters and multi-rotor ‘drones’ — will be conducted all day by members, and training aircraft with instructors will be available for kids to fly. A FREE barbeque lunch consisting of hamburgers and hot dogs will be served to all attendees, and all kids will also receive a FREE Guillows balsa wood glider. Learn more HERE.
Fall Container Garden Workshop At Mahoney’s Tewksbury
Mahoney’s Tewksbury (1609 Main Street) is holding a Fall Container Garden Workshop from 2pm to 3pm. This hands-on event is perfect for gardeners of all levels who want to bring a touch of fall beauty to their outdoor spaces. Guided by expert instructors, participants will create a stunning fall-themed container garden using a selection of seasonal plants that thrive during the cooler months. Community Flea Market @ Tewksbury Baptist Church
Tewksbury Baptist Church (1500 Andover Street) is holding its annual Community Flea Market from 8am to 1pm. Also look for yard sales at 42 Brentwood Avenue (8am-5pm), 150 Greenmeadow Drive (10am-4pm); and 103 Helvetia Street (8am-1pm).
Book Donation Drive @ Tewksbury Public Library
The Friends of the Tewksbury Public Library is holding a Book Donation Drive from 9:30am to 12:30pm at the Library (300 Chandler Street). Drop off your books and DVDs — in good condition — at the Friends’ tables in the library’s lobby. All donations will be reviewed by a volunteer. Accepted items will then be sorted and sold on the Friends’ ongoing book sale carts.
Tewksbury Library To Co-Host World War II Webinar
The Tewksbury Public Library, in conjunction with other Massachusetts libraries, is hosting author and historian Helen Fry for a discussion of her new book, The Walls Have Ears: The Greatest Intelligence Operation of World War II, at 2pm on ZOOM. Learn more & register HERE.

TMHS Class Of 2026 To Hold Car Wash Fundraiser
Tewksbury High’s Class of 2026 is holding its annual Car Wash fundraiser from 10am to noon outside Tewksbury Town Hall (1009 Main Street). Donations (cash only) are greatly accepted. All proceeds will help the TMHS juniors pay for their junior prom, senior prom, and other senior year activities.
Public Health Museum Tours
The Public Health Museum, located on the grounds of the Tewksbury Hospital (365 East Steet), is open from 10am to 2pm. A hospital campus walking tour will take place at 10:30am. Tours of the museum are also scheduled for 11:30am. Register for any of the tours HERE. The Museum is a non-profit educational and cultural museum, with a mission to strive to preserve records and artifacts from America’s public health history; educate the public about the achievements and contributions of public health; and inspire people to build upon the past and continue to advance the future of public health.
Live Music @ TJ Callahan’s Pub
TJ Callahan’s Pub (1475 Main Street) is offering live music with Bad Max beginning at 8pm. The band describes itself as “Billerica’s most notorious cover band. Spawned from the demon seeds of Rock & Roll, this band’s sole mission is to resurrect the Metal.”
Tewksbury Community Pantry Open For Food Distribution
The Tewksbury Community Pantry (999 Whipple Road) is open for food distribution from 10am to 11am. Tewksbury residents experiencing food insecurity are invited to apply HERE. Pantry clients will receive a pre-packaged box of food and an additional bag of food provided by the USDA. Meat and cheese are distributed when available.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament @ Batters Up
Batters Up (1830 Main Street) holds a Yu-Gi-Oh! Tournament every Saturday afternoon, from 3pm to 6:30pm. The entry fee is $5, which includes an Official Tournament Store (OTS) pack. The Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game is an exciting game of strategy, luck, and skill. Learn how to play HERE.
