Library Card Month – Local Discounts

TPL has partnered with local businesses to provide discounts to library cardholders beginning September 1st through September 30th.

Show your library card, get a discount!
Every September libraries around the country participate in the annual celebration of National Library Card Sign-Up Month. Started in 1987, Library Card Sign-Up Month coincides with the beginning of the school year as a way to encourage all members of the community to get a library card.

To sign-up for a library card today, complete a brief library card application in person at the Circulation Desk and show identification with your current Tewksbury address on it or online at this link for an eCard that provides you instant access to online services wherever you are. Children under the age of 14 must have a parent or guardian with them at the library to sign up for a card. Signing up for a library card is always free. Replacing a lost or damaged library is also free.

Learn more about the thirteen participating vendors around town here. From Italian food to smoothies to pizza, there is a wide variety of discounts available just by showing your library card. Visit these local businesses, including a selection of Tewksbury Community Market vendors, throughout the month.

Don’t have a library card? You can sign up for one in person at the Circulation Desk or sign up for an eCard at tewksburypl.org. This program runs throughout the month of September so you can take advantage of these discounts whenever you get your shiny new library card.
