Tewksbury skater earns silver medal at US Figure Skating National Theatre on Ice competition in Indiana

Local talent, Paige Rattey of Tewksbury, along with the rest of the Crystal Blades team at The North Shore Skating Club bring home the silver medal from the US Figure Skating National Theatre on Ice competition!

The North Shore Skating Club Crystal Blades Theatre on Ice team won the silver medal at the US Figure Skating National Theatre on Ice competition in Evansville, Indiana on June 29th.

Eighty teams traveled to Evansville, Indiana, for 2024 National Theatre on Ice to compete for theatrical skating titles across nine divisions: preliminary, intermediate, juvenile, novice, junior, senior, open, adult and adaptive.

The Crystal Blades are comprised of 20 skaters from different North Shore towns. The team took second place after their choreographic exercise and remained in second after their free skate. They finished with a total of 66.35 points, earing them the silver medal of the 2024 US Theatre on Ice Intermediate Division!

The team is coached by Kate McSwain, Gillian Robidas, and Faye Greel and is based out of Reading’s Burbank Ice Arena.
