April and May showers brought us some flowers
On Saturday Power of Flowers held its annual Bloom Festival to raise funds to support the organization’s mission of creating signature bouquets from donated flowers for seniors and veterans in care facilities. If you couldn’t make it to the Grow Greenhouses, you can learn about the nonprofit here and see how to help with flowers or a donation.
And, the Tewksbury Garden Club plant sale is this coming Saturday at the Library, with a bonus bake sale.
On Monday , May 13, the Town’s contractor, EJ Paving, will add the first layer of pavement on Trull Brook Lane and milling the existing pavement on Hood Road. The work is expected to be take place between the hours of 7:30 a.m and 3:30 p.m. Access will remain open to residents, abutters, school buses, deliveries and emergency services. Detours may be set up along the road as needed.
Looking ahead:
On Wednesday, May 22 the Tewksbury Historical Society will commemorate Memorial Day, WWI Veterans and our town’s role in 1920 in the Town Hall lobby. The 22nd is also an opportunity to learn about the Tewksbury Lions Club at TJ Callahan’s, at 7 p.m.
Monday, May 27 is the Tewksbury Memorial Day observance at the Tewksbury Cemetery at 10 a.m. followed by a parade down Main St. at 11 a.m.
Sunday, June 2 is the Tewksbury Pride Picnic on the Common from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with music from Tee & the Gents and food from Code 1 BBQ.
Saturday, June 8 is the Tewksbury Historical Society Annual Meeting at 1 p.m. at Tewksbury Town Hall.

Reimagine Your Garden

Following a brief discussion of the features of wild landscapes fundamental to naturalistic landscape design, garden consultant Deborah Chud takes you inside her process of reimagination. The modest scale of the plantings she reimagines makes them relevant to most people’s garden dilemmas. Rock-A-Baby Band with Little Beats

Rock-a-Baby is an interactive music and dance program exploring simple musical concepts through live and recorded music. Come listen and dance to the sounds of the Silvertones — waltz, Latin, jitterbug, foxtrot, big band, line dances and more. Cost is $10 at the door. This is not a BYOB event.
