The students are coached by Ryan School and Wynn Middle School Band teacher Tim Olevsky. The Knowledge Bowl started in 1998 and was originally just for Lowell Middle Schools, but it has since expanded to include other surrounding towns. Students compete in multiple rounds of questions on topics that can include English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, the Arts and Current Events.

School Committee Chair Bridget Garabedian congratulated the Wynn students.

“Our Tewksbury community should be so proud of the students that made it to second place in this competitive arena. It’s an honor,” said Garabedian. “Thanks to Mr. O for his dedication to the team.”
